  • This weekend's fixtures see the Seniors travel to Abingdon United in the league. Honours are even so far this season, one cup win each and a draw in the first league game. The outcome could decide third and fourth places in the final table. Kick-off 2pm on Sunday at Northcourt Road, Abingdon OX14 1PL.

After hearing that they have been drawn away to Caversham in the B&BWJC semi-finals, the Development side host Southampton Women's Reserves in Division One South on Sunday. 2pm at ASM Stadium, Meadow View Park, Tythorp Way, Thame OX9 3RN.

The U-18s are away to City Belles U-18s for a league cup tie, kick-off 10:30 Saturday at Marley Grove, Milton Keynes MK8 0AS.

  • Awful thread

  • Don't be a prick mate

  • Awful thread mate.

  • I was kind of on your side, but you've lost me now, why ? What's the point, espc on this thread of all of them

  • He/she has very quickly turned into the least interesting WUM we’ve had on here for a long time

  • The Chairgirls lost 2-0 at Abingdon United this afternoon, goals on 11 minutes (penalty) and 50. Looks like a comfortable win from the stats:

Nest Sunday the Chairgirls pay a league visit to Newbury, who lost 4-1 at home to Oxford City today.

The Development team drew 1-1 at home to Southampton Women's Reserves today, and the U-18s lost 1-0 at City Belles yesterday.

  • Do you write the official reports @Steve_Peart?

  • No @drcongo, I don't know who does.

  • Coming up this weekend, the Chairgirls start a run of five league games, all of which they will be favourites to win. They travel once again to Newbury after winning 5-1 there two weeks ago in the Chairman's Cup. Assuming the pitch survives the rain, the players will have to contend with gusts of up to 60 mph. If the orientation of the pitch on Google Maps is current then the wind will be running right up the pitch! KO 2pm at Donnington Recreation Ground, Newbury RG14 2LD.

The Development side host unbeaten leaders Abingdon Town in the league on Sunday. The reverse fixture was a 1-1 draw back in November. Weather conditions permitting, this should be another close match. KO 2pm at the ASM Stadium, Tythorp Way, Thame OX9 3RN.

The U18s are away to Moretonville Junior U18s in the league on Saturday, KO 10am at Gawcott Playing Fields, Gawcott, Buckingham MK18 4JD.

Both the Senior and Development games tomorrow, Sunday, have already been called off, because of the expected storm. All SRWFL games have been postponed.

The U18s drew 1-1 at Moretonville. Next Sunday the Seniors are away to Warsash Wasps in the league.

  • Even more rain forecast this weekend than last, and winds as strong, if not stronger. The Southern Region Women's Football League have just tweeted:

"At present time @SthRgnWFL is not implementing a blanket postponement of Sunday games but will monitor Storm Dennis and authorities warnings. Clubs have been emailed on this matter".

On Sunday the Chairgirls are due to travel the 90 miles to Warsash Wasps in the league. The reverse fixture on January 5th was cancelled when Warsash could not raise a team. Since then they have played two games, recording two draws, one a cup tie lost on penalties. KO 2pm at Warsash Wasps Sports & Social Club, Club House, New Road, Warsash SO31 9UH.

The Development team have an equally long league trip to Bournemouth Sports, just above them in the table. KO 2pm at Chapel Gate, Nr Hurn Airport, East Parley BH23 6BL.

The U18s have more of a chance of playing, with a league derby away to Wycombe Saints U18s. KO 10:30 Saturday, no venue posted.

  • Both SRWFL games today are showing as postponed on the league website, no surprise there. No mention as yet on Twitter about them. The U18s game yesterday also appears to have been postponed, no trace of it.

Next Sunday the Chairgirls go to Ascot United for a league game.

  • Fingers crossed for some football on Sunday as the Chairgirls travel to Ascot United in the league. Last October the Chairgirls beat them 4-0 at home but, in the last few weeks, Ascot have had some promising results, only losing 2-1 at Abingdon United, and 2-0 at leaders Moneyfields. KO 2:30 pm at Ascot United Racecourse Ground, Winkfield Road, Ascot, SL5 7LJ.

The Development team host Tilehurst Panthers on Sunday for a league game. In the reverse fixture last month the Panthers won 4-3. KO 2pm at the ASM Stadium, Tythorp Way, Thame OX9 3RN.

The U18s have no fixture this weekend.

  • Football has been played at last and a successful day it has been!

The Chairgirls won 5-2 at Ascot in the SRWFL Permier, 2-0 at HT. Goals from Tara Woodward (3), Sam Jackson and an own goal, before the Yellawomen pulled two back, including an o.g.

Next week the Seniors have no fixture. I think it was left free so they could play the Chairman's Cup semi-final, but New Milton Town and Southampton Women's Reserves have yet to play their quarter final, postponed today for the third week running. I note that the league have the Chairgirls down to play two games on 29 March, AST Bournemouth away and Oxford City at home. City have no scheduled fixture next week so it would make sense for Oxford to visit next Sunday.

The Development team beat Tilehurst Panthers 4-1 at home in the SRWFL One South, Chloe Ball (3) and Emily Wheller with the goals. That win takes them up to fifth, their highest position this season. They have no game scheduled next week.

The Seniors now have a game arranged next Sunday, away to Warsash Wasps.

  • Reports from Sunday. In the Seniors one, it says that they play in the Chairman's Cup next Sunday, but the league site has them down for Warsash away, as their cup opponents have not been decided yet.

    https://www.wycombewanderers.co.uk/news/2020/february/4-1-win-for-ladies-development-side/

  • On Sunday the Chairgirls travel to the South Coast, to bottom, but improving, side Warsash Wasps. Pitch condition permitting, of course. We are still awaiting a ruling on the home fixture, called off because Wasps were unable to raise a side. Given the building fixture backlog, it will likely be awarded to the Chairgirls.

Some confusion over the Development team's fixture on Sunday. The league site has them away in the B & B Junior Cup at Caversham, but the B & B site shows that Dev are in the semi-final on 15 March, away to Taplow who had a walkover win against Caversham in the quarter-final. No word yet on Dev's Twitter.

The U18s have no fixture until 14 March.

  • The Seniors game at Warsash tomorrow has been postponed. Next week they are down to play Winchester City Flyers at home in the league. That fixture may be replaced with a Chairman's Cup semi-final, if New Milton Town and Southampton Women's Reserves complete their quarter-final match tomorrow.

The Development team has no fixture tomorrow, the league site has corrected the mistake and removed the Caversham game.

  • Southampton Women's Reserves will be the Chairgirls' opponents in the Chariman's Cup semi-final, after they won 5-1 at New Milton Town today. The match will be played on 15 March, away unfortunately.

The other semi-final was played today, Abingdon Town beat Abbey Rangers 2-1 at home.

So Winchester City Flyers it is at home next Sunday.

  • On Sunday the Chairgirls play their first home game for seven weeks. Winchester City Flyers, great name, visit in the league and, although they are second from bottom on goal difference, they are an improving team. Just a 2-0 cup defeat at Abingdon United last weekend, and three draws and a narrow defeat before that.

The 3G pitch should ensure the match is on, KO 2pm at Bucks College Group Wycombe Campus, Spring Lane, Flackwell Heath, HP10 9HE. I cannot be there but the Chairgirls always welcome your support.

The Development team have a league game at second placed Eastleigh, KO later at 3pm on Sunday, at Cantell School, Violet Road, Southampton SO16 3GJ.

The U18s have no game tomorrow.

  • FT Chairgirls 3-1 Winchester City Flyers

Flyers took lead on 38 minutes, second half turnaround from Iniss (55) and Jackson (72, 87).

  • Elsewhere in the Premier Division today, the Moneyfields v AFC Bournemouth CST top two clash was postponed. Oxford City beat Abingdon United 1-0 with an 88th minute goal, a result that opens up the battle for third place. Warsash Washaps beat Woodley Utd 5-4 to take themselves off the bottom.

    Premier Table: http://fulltime-league.thefa.com/Index.do?divisionseason=580378714&league=479698

In Division One South, the Development team lost 3-0 at Eastleigh, goals on 56, 81 and 86 minutes.

Next Sunday the Seniors travel to Southampton Women's Reserves in the Chairman's Cup semi-final. Dev are at Taplow Utd in the B&B Junior Cup semi-final.

  • The SRWFL have confirmed that all their games are still on this weekend "in accordance with the the current FA guidelines". So the Chairgirls make the long journey to play Southampton Women's Reserves in the Chairman's Cup semi-final. They won 5-4 at Alton and 5-1 at New Milton, in the last round, to reach this stage. They are a mid-table Division One South side who drew 1-1 away against the Development team last month.

Kick-off 2pm Sunday at Lapstone Park, Pavilion CLose, Fair Oak, Eastleigh, Hants SO50 7PS.

There is some confusion over the Development team's B & B semi-final tie at Taplow United on Sunday. It is on according to the SRWFL site, the B & B site has the date as "TBC" against Taplow United (Saturday) Ladies. If this is the same "Taplow United Ladies" team in the Thames Valley Counties Division 3 South, then they are due to play Mortimer Ladies tomorrow. I will update when I have had clarification from the Secretary.

The U18s were due to play their final league game today, against Wycombe Saints, but that has been postponed.

  • Southampton Women have said tonight that the Chairman's Cup game is still on "at this time", although the Chairgirls' Secretary is awaiting confirmation from the league. There has been a change of venue however, it would take place at Winklebury Football Complex, Winklebury Way, Basingstoke, Hants RG23 8BF.

The Development game is off, it should never have appeared on the league site fixtures. Taplow's place in the semi-final is still under investigation by the B & B.

  • FT in the Chairman's Cup semi-final, Southampton Women's Reserves 1-3 Wycombe Ladies.

No details as yet, congratulations to the Chairgirls, Division One South leaders Abingdon Town await them in the final at a date TBC.

Southampton's tweet after the game: "A huge thank you to @wycombeladies for working with us to make this game happen today in this climate. Stay safe, healthy & remain kind."

    Two league games today:
AFC Bournemouth CST 11-0 Warsash Wasps
    Moneyfields 5-0 Newbury

Next week the Chairgirls are scheduled to play Woodley United away in the league.
