  • @Malone - I think it was a bit more than one drinking episode. We have had disruptive elements in the recent past, do we really want to risk that again?

  • Probably not a goer for a range of reasons.
And i doubt he'd fancy coming back to somewhere he started, and for buttons.

  • Reading that link, it gives 1 incident of booze, 1 little row with the keeper, and the rest sounds pure smear material.
    "Negative influence".

  • I believe Roger Johnson has admitted to having had alcohol dependency issues.

That and related mental health issues are becoming a serious issue, particularly in upper levels of the game.

If he has learnt to manage those issues, he is entitled to be judged by future employers on his footballing ability.

I suspect none of us are in any position to judge the extent of his current ability or for that matter his desire to return to Lg2 football. That's GA job.

  • If he has not nutted a true fan I would imagine the terrace would welcome him back.

  • Maybe Tesco and pierre jokes starting to wear a little thin now?

Maybe. I'm not ready to go back to club finance, attendance statistics and the EFL Trophy yet though.

  • @Wendoverman - Don't forget the fairness or otherwise of discounts for over 60s

  • Don't get me started on that one @mooneyman

  • 5 year plan too.

And terrace yobs genuinely understanding why they can't shout whatever they like, as long as they label it "bann-tarrr"

  • And puns. Lots of puns.
