Re: Matt Bloomfield to Luton?
The Couhig period was far, far better than most of the detractors would have it...and of course after several years they could say 'I told you several years ago he was just in it to sell at a profit...'
No-one thought he was a cuddly benefactor (as the years of posts criticial of him would attest) but he bought into the culture to a degree (or at least could fake it) and left us in a better position than he found us.
The worrying thing about the new people is we sort of have no real idea what their agenda is...but perhaps time will tell. we'll have a great few years and we'll end up even more worried when we become Musk SpaceX Wanderers.
Re: The manager post Matty Bloomfield?
Jack Wilshere was manager of Arsenal U18s when they got to the FA Youth Cup final; they lost 5-1 to a West Ham side captained by our very own Gideon Kodua, who also scored an audacious 35 yarder: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rGwxKsGkdhw (3:40 in the video)
Re: The manager post Matty Bloomfield?
Ashley Cole has a good coaching record, heard people say good things about him, and was very much a model professional.
He would make a good head coach.
Re: The manager post Matty Bloomfield?
Ashley Cole's coaching path has taken in time at Academy level and in the England Youth Set Up. I'd imagine he's he type of candidate the owners might be keen on.
If his name wasn't Ashley Cole, we'd probably be a bit keener on that pathway. Just a shame he's proven himself to be a bit of a bellend in the past.
Re: Jason McCarthy - Brighton u21s
I am pleased he has found a decent first football coaching role, as it was clear that he was heading down this route.
I wish him every success, he deserves it as he is a sound fellow.
Re: Matt Bloomfield to Luton?
Pretty much. And he was a visible and approachable bloke too.
And he didn’t to my knowledge sack coaching staff without telling the manager.
