Re: Rumour Mill
Of course he's within his right - and my "Mr Wycombe" jibes are all tongue in cheek - but I think a majority of Wycombe fans won't see it that way. I'm already seeing folk on twitter who were angry at the club for letting him go now suggesting Blooms trying to pull our squad apart would damage their view of him. It's certainly not just a "bunch of ingrates" who would change their view of MB if he was to relentlessly pursue our best players.
Re: Rumour Mill
Wait - so many people have been applying the strawman arguments of "well within their rights" and "these things happen in football" to Dan Rice's treatment of Bloomfield, but suddenly Bloomfield is not "well within his rights" to try and purchase a player he brought to Wycombe in the first place out of professionalism to his new employer?
I agree that Blooms' reputation will be damaged among a large section of fans, and already is. But I see that as people being a bunch of ingrates who see him as a cartoon character who belongs to them rather than a human being with a family and a career to think about.
Re: Rumour Mill
Casual Wycombe fans will barely care. Neutrals won’t give a toss.
Dan & Ed could’ve nipped this in the bud by offering Blooms a better deal and inserting a hands off clause if he did go. The fact they did neither is for them to ponder on.
Re: Rumour Mill
You are aware that in Wales' last international squad, only 4 of the 26 players selected, played for either Cardiff or Swansea? All the players selected where in the Championship or above and that's what Joe has been looking at. I think his international prospects will get noticed wherever he plays in the UK. Yes, being closer to home might be a draw but that hasn't stopped him from going to teams like Eastleigh, Walsall on loan and then signing for us to get games.
Re: Squad strength - January 2025 transfer window
We're turning down 2m bids these days?
What the heck has happened to us.
Re: New Manager Vote
It's the biggest split in Wycombe Wanderers history since the left side versus right side terrace war
