Re: FA Cup Man of the Match - Preston (A)
I didn’t see enough from Norris yesterday to justify him taking over from Rav. Made some decent saves that I would expect him to make but his distribution was certainly not an improvement indeed on a number of occasions it was rushed and lacked composure. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt in it being his first competitive game with the team but for the moment it’s Rav for me

Re: Match Day Thread: Preston (FA CUP)
Interesting Post game comments from Dodds in regards to our in possession work and changes he is looking to make- something that will need a "Significant amount of time".
Considering we are/have been one of the most free-scoring teams across all English Football leagues I find it interesting/fascinating/worrying even that he wants to change the in-possession side to our game quite so much. Perhaps he is taking this one game of not scoring in isolation or maybe wanting to make sure we aren't reliant on 1 or 2 individuals scoring every week but I guess we'll have to see what he wants in terms of in-possession play.
Seems to be even more confident in our squad and our chances in the next 16 games though, which is a good sign.
Re: Other Football
An incredible statistic that todays CUPSET brought up.
Queen's Park last won the cup in 1893. They are still 3rd place behind Celtic and Rangers for most cup wins.
Re: Wycombe Wanderers Women
In the League Cup, the Firsts will travel to Portchester, who beat Abingdon United Devs 4-0 today in their tie. That match will take place on 23rd February.
Re: FA Cup Man of the Match - Preston (A)
Surely our best X1 is entirely dependent on who our opposition are?
There will be games when GMac will be the best choice to start, for example, and games when he misses out. It will all depend on who he is up against on the wing.

Re: Match Day Thread: Preston (FA CUP)
Also, Bez was generally playing up against Liam Lindsay, who was outstanding for North End - won everything in the air and never gave Bez a moment's peace with the ball at his feet. By far their best player, I thought. And our other forward players (for understandable reasons) were often distant from Bez, leaving him isolated and easy to pick off.
Re: Match Day Thread: Preston (FA CUP)
Anders has played on plastic at home for a couple of years with Molde but had plenty of exposure to grass back in Denmark. It's an interesting point.
Re: Other Football
There was still more than enough quality in that starting 11 to win this comfortably - 8 first-team regulars + Chiesa. They've just been really poor.
Re: Funniest chants
How are Preston under 'average'and not under 'library'? I've been to a lot of games and grounds and that was the quietest I think I've ever heard at Deepdale
