Queen's Park are the only Scottish team to have played in an FA Cup Final, twice and beaten both times by Blackburn Rovers. They are a very important team in the history of the game, being credited with introducing the 'combination' or passing style. Nicknamed the Spiders, after their black and white hooped jerseys, I usually hear them called "Queen's".
I only have a superficial knowledge of the history. What happened to allow two other clubs in Glasgow to so usurp what was once the dominant Glasgow club? Was it the religion thing?
I think it's because they stuck to amateurism. The same thing happened in England, some leading clubs in the early days didn't embrace professionalism. It's amazing to think that Marlow were once a top club in the country.

Rangers 0 Queens Park 1
CUPSET!! They even gave Rangers the obligatory 97th minute penalty and they still fucked it up.
If only we'd snuck through, it was opening up for us!
You probably won't like the half and half shirts
Life ban
An incredible statistic that todays CUPSET brought up.
Queen's Park last won the cup in 1893. They are still 3rd place behind Celtic and Rangers for most cup wins.
That is just truly bonkers.
Wanderers have won as many FA Cups as Everton and they haven't existed since 1887
Old Etonians have won as many as Nottsy Forest too.
But even more shockingly Tottenham have won not just one, but 8!

John Eustace looking likely to leave play-off positioned Backburn to join relegation position Derby. Why?
Finished his playing career at Derby I believe?
Much closer to his home, finished his playing career there and probably more money.
Sounds like he's not particularly appreciated by the Blackburn owners (still the chicken people)
If you're not appreciated by your owners in this business, it is best to move on.
