‘Market forces’ is interesting. I’m very much of the modern (top level) football is gash camp but that’s possibly because I’m older and have gone way past the teenage phase of ‘I must watch Getafe v Celta Vigo’. Plus, a lot of the big stuff like the UCL is paywalled (albeit BBC highlights now but meh, that ship has sailed for me).
Arguably the golden goose has never shone brighter. Attendances are up everywhere, even in non-league which has seen an influx of priced out fans. Maybe that was the idea all along? To use market forces to price out certain sections as they’ll find their fix elsewhere and be easily replaced by the wealthy and tourists.
In terms of any impact on our attendances…well, our poor attendances, while not helped by market forces, the new Sky deal, and many other oft-debated factors, seem to be very much a WWFC problem. Everyone else seems to be doing ok.
Huge game in the hunt for a play-off spot. Stockport vs Bolton, 5th vs 6th in the early kick off. Both sides breathing down our necks. I guess a draw would be the best result but with their goal difference being significantly poorer than ours, maybe a Bolton win wouldn’t be the worst outcome?
The league is very dangerously poised at the moment.
Lose today, and see Charlton and Stockport win and we're suddenly only 2 & 3 points ahead of those two. Yes we'd have a game in hand, but with a run in including play off hopefuls Bolton, Charlton, Stockport, Orient and Huddo, and it'd look very difficult.
However, win today and those 2 not both win...and much much rosier!
Last day nightmare scenario. Lose to Stockport and they go up. Blow softener - our loss prevents Wrexham finishing second and we beat them in the playoff final.

A draw would be ideal. Due to goal difference Bolton are nine points shy of overtaking us and Wrexham.
Cant see them overhauling both of us in only 10 games.
Our last game of the season could be huge.

At least it’s not automatics or bust.
Bolton v Stockport getting very tetchy, not least amongst the fans. Much booing as the half time whistle went.
Morley subbed and then they mmediately concede goal.
Lots of negativity for Forino with the goal. Haven’t seen it myself but the word statue has been thrown about!

F/T Bolton 0 Stockport 1.
I imagine Eddie Howe's bonus will be ten Lamborghinis, a bucket of Richard Mille watches and some very nice camels.
Really good display from Newcastle, though almost found a way to throw it away late on!
Good to see such romance can still happen with these clubs lacking a bit of money.
See you in 2095
