MISSING: Have you seen two WWFC Danish footballers.
It’s been a tough few weeks and we’re starting to get worried… Two Danish footballers have gone missing and haven’t been spotted for a number of weeks.
They were last seen on the training pitch and in ‘promotional’ media video clips looking like ‘non playable characters’, but since then? Radio silence. No goals, no assists, not even a misplaced pass.
If you have any information on their whereabouts, please let Mike Dodds know. Denmark also want to know what’s happening before it’s too late.

Rosencrantz and Guildenstern played larger roles than these 2
Harsh to blame guys who got bought and would probably like to play.
We look like a team that didn't strengthen in January and got absolutely rinsed by some smart agents with a few nice video clips and totally irrelevant stats.
It's the way they were involved with brief cameos off the bench, to then suddenly not involved at all that adds to the mystery.
Are they properly fit? Are they temporarily off the pace due to a different style of football here?
Or are they (most worryingly) not in our best 20 players!
I would love to know how we actually scouted these two. Did we actually send club representatives Norway and Denmark to watch them? If so, how many times? Or did we just - as you say - watch some videos and rely on the Scandinavian version of Opta?
Very odd and spunking all that money on them as well.
With Simons suspended, I suspect Westergaard will come into the squad on Tuesday, unless Bakinson does.
Probably more likely Lowry and Bakinson are the 2 to come in? With Reach and Leahy starting?
It would be odd if we bought them and Berry for the Championship (long term.planning) but Dodds thinks they are not up to getting us there.
Agreed.
I’m just going to say it, and hopefully I’ll die on my sword here… but… I think we’ve had our absolute pants pulled down with the two Danes and I don’t think we will ever see much of them.
I sincerely do hope I’m wrong, but these lads didn’t come from the other side of the world with little knowledge of English football or our language.
I genuinely think they were bought with an eye to L1 next year and that the owners aren't fussed about promotion this time around .
I had totally forgotten that Leahy is a likely left back fill in too! As it might be quite an ask for Reach to in effect play 2 full games in 4 days after 1 game this season previously.
There will have been players we've brought in before that we can't understand why, or that took a while to get going.
But like you say it's a mad scenario that players aren't currently in our top rated 18 players, yet can do a job in a higher tier!
You surely don't put in what must be the best part of £2m on signings in a Jan window just to have a look for next season, when you're already sat in 2nd and have been for 4months!?
That would be the common thought, but the other argument is you've bought 2 players for the best part of £2m who can't get near the team, and the guy you hired to train and improve them, won't put them near the team and isn't bothered by that
I think these 2 lads were 1.2m and my 2m included the other signings.
The whole total doesn't scream kitting us out for the same division.
The not selecting them is another situation all together.
And one that aside from management insisting a coach picks certain players, is always the risk.
Carlos Lopez has held this torch for far too long. Time to hand the ‘I was there when’ flame to the Scandies?
But you're forgetting that Championship football is a different game to League 1.
It is, but you generally need to be a better player to succeed there.
I don’t get the we have bought them for the Championship narrative, if they were good enough for that they’d be playing now. Simon’s played 5 minutes off the bench and we could see he was quality, these guys have had chances and currently aren’t up to it. That could be down to fitness, playing style or just not quite good enough. Hopefully, given some time working with our coaching teams they’ll eventually come good, just frustrating that’s unlikely to help us this season.
I was joking, it's still football.
Absolute nonsense.
It's a good theory, although I put it alongside the money laundering conspiracy TBH.
Having said that, as far as I can see, their signing makes absolutely no sense so far. So maybe ...
🤷♂️
Bit of a tricky one for Dan Rice if he's sanctioned spending the money and the head coach is saying none of them are good enough. Or better than the journeyman loans or veterans. Or I suppose it could be tricky for MD...
Maybe fitness wasn't one of the data sets they used?
Hope they update the model before the next transfer window.
With regard to the Centre half, he would have to be bloody good to dislodge Low, Taylor and Bradley!
Well at least the theory that Dan Rice was having undue influence on team selection has been debunked since he was prominent in recruiting the Danes.
Our scouting team are highly regarded within there trade. I'm puzzled by the signings not getting near the match day squad. Maybe Dodds doesn't think there putting in the desired level in training. Bizarre situation
I'd rather the money combined total spent was used to bring Morley in on a permanent.
The comments from the club, Dodds included, have been quite clear. They’re not match fit and have been brought in with more than this season in mind.
I’d suggest Berry’s absence is of more concern. His position is one in which we are struggling for consistency and Dodds has suggested that there are simply others ahead of him in the pecking order right now.
I’m assuming the signings we’ve made that included fees have been done so to avoid the tighter financial restrictions coming in from next season. Therefore, whilst frustrating now, it does make some sense.
That said, the true football fan in me would have much preferred two or three immediate starters to have come in and reignite our form, especially out wide.
