Luton go bottom of the league after defeat. Teams around them are starting to pick up points - Plymouth winning 5-1 tonight - whilst MB is still yet to win a game. I suspect he'll be back in League One in August.
This was my concern with Luton job, he won't get time. He got a really good crack with us despite results but we were fighting for nothing. They are fighting for their survival.
A quick look on socials will see comments along the lines of 'we are worse', 'lack of organisation', etc etc. Losing the fans after a month is what happened at QPR for Ainsworth
It's a horrible run of games. Two top teams, then resurgent basement rival Plymouth, then of all teams, their massive rivals Watford.
Whilst any "reasonable" fan could see Sunderland and Sheff Utd as anything from them is a bonus fare, it could quickly turn absolutely toxic over the Plymouth and Watford games.
While they're still one win from 4th bottom there's no alarm, but after that spell of games it could easily be 6-8.
A manager with a 0% win record is going to be under pressure, more so the longer it goes on.
I watched his post match interview yesterday and it was sad to see his body language. It was back to how it was during our terrible run, lots of staring at the ground during answers. It was noticeable this season how he had a glint in his eye and made lots of eye contact with Phil. I hope he’s given time.
It was a hard watch, probably not helped by the interviewer asking some rather bizarre questions. Talking about momentum, positives etc. I genuinely think a bit more honesty would have been appreciated by the fans. That said, Matt did keep reminding the interviewer that it wasn’t good enough and that things need to improve.
Matt is an intelligent guy. He knows how big a task he faces now and he is in the best place to get them out of this mess, as he has been in this situation with us before. The difficulty for him is does he have enough time to turn it around. His immediate target is miles apart from the fans’ target at the start of the campaign. It’s survival vs promotion and dare I say it, even if he keeps them up it still might not be enough to win over the fans.

Blimey.... what a sh*t show.... I hope stocky knows what he is getting himself into.
Good luck to him and the club. I hope better fortune is around the corner
Blyth were a complete mess too weren't they? best of luck to him!
In to double figures for the season too and not always a starter.
He's scored again!
JJ is on commentary for the Sunderland / Luton game. He can’t pronounce Luke O’Nien’s name bizarrely.
Must be a bet!
His second sounds special.

If he’s given time he will turn it around, he’s a great manager.
Not sure it'll be with them
Yeah, hard to see him lasting beyond the end of the season if he takes them down
Quite, he wasn't great for us during his first few months at Adams Park.

Most Luton fans that i've seen still blame the owners and their lack on investment rather than Matt.
But, if that Watford game could make or break him depending on what happens between then and now.
