Watching Exeter vs Forest on +1. That was an impressively high challenge from Ed Turns. I thought the referee would bottle it and give a yellow for one minute.
Not sure I agree. Reading guy brought down by Blackman… from the angles offered by the highlights, it’s a stonewall pen not given. Howler territory for me.
I watched a good chunk of this and didn't think Shrewsbury were dreadful at all. They had a lot of pressure and created a few really good chances - plus the missed pen. They look a much better side then the one we thrashed before Christmas.
Likewise, I watched quite a bit of the Reading Shrewsbury game. Shrewsbury have definitely improved under Ainsworth and were the better side for most of match. Reading on the other hand looked poor.
Also watched bits of Crawley V Stevenage. Was quite surprised to see the final score, as Stevenage had looked the better of the 2 sides in the parts I saw. Crawley are scoring plenty of goals at the moment, so clearly a tough game for us Saturday.
Seems 'anti-football' still works then as long as the ref falls for everything.😉
I'm glad Gareth and Dobbo are getting another chance to do what they do. If anyone can keep the Shrews up with only a few free signings and motivating the existing players, it's those two. They already have some results to remember.
That result for Crawley last night seems a bit freakish - they've been struggling to keep clean sheets and not generally hammering teams. I'm going for another tight win like when we played them at home - they're a better side than their position suggests but hardly rampant.
They looked very good away at Bolton and could have come away with a result. Crawley appear to be very fast and fluid up front and will be a real danger.
Every game is going to be a nail biter from now on, people fighting relegation or pushing for promotion/playoffs. If we can get points from the next two, anything we get from Birmingham will be a bonus and then we start again!
I've only the Youtube highlights to go on, but it looks like Crawley gave Stevenage time and space to do whatever they wanted. Hopefully that's one thing we won't have to worry about.

Stockport now five points behind us having played two more.
I'd even granted Stockport their 6th win before full time... a big thanks to the horse punchers (and Matt Butcher)
Peterborough in all kinds of trouble. Fairly sure they go down.
Reading v Shrews - Overall two frankly dreadful sides, playing in on a crap pitch, in front of, by the sounds of it, a disinterested crowd.
The highspot was Abigail Byrnes first run-out as a L1 ref - she did pretty well & certainly made no howlers.
Brilliant work from Rovers there.
Form Table - last 6 games
Spectacularly good from B'ham, Stockport & Charlton; dreadfully bad from Posh, Barnsley, Exeter & Mansfield
We really need to get some wins over the next few games to cement 2nd place in the league
City shit the bed again

No, not a penalty for me. Player was looking for it. I also thought the referee was excellent, got far more right than wrong.
Only got home to watch the pens at st james. Good for Exeter and Caldwell didn't get sent off!😁

Luton could hit the bottom tonight.
Certainly looks like it'll get worse before it gets better from their next 2.

They are at the moment
