Absolutely. He played the ref all afternoon. Whenever he got into a tussle with Udoh he went down like Dan had hit him with a cudgel to buy himself and his team time to reset. Off the pitch, he is a genuinely nice man.
🤣 Bradley has been excellent if he was a Rice signing . None of the others have got up to speed or played much . What makes you think they are likely to be duds ? I know you say "if" but your implication seems to be they will or you would not have said this . Are you sure this is not just an attack on Rice period.
I believe, probably because something had to be done very quickly with the (possibly) unexpected decision by WBA to recall Caleb Taylor, Matt Bloomfield would almost certainly have contributed to the decision to go for Sonny Bradley. I think Matt made comments at the time that seemed to suggest that was the case.
The guy behind me at the game (a relentless poster on the Facebook page) thought Fred had a great game and was almost incandescent with rage when he went off. Mind you he was also asking for Vokes to come on and “run at their defence” from about the second minute.
i don’t think Udoh or Lubala are suited to a lone central striker role. Hence the need to bring in a back-up centre forward in the next couple of days.
I'm getting ready for the thumbs down but I've just seen the Bradley incident and I'm afraid that I'm on the referee's side with this one.
If you have a look at the 2nd angle of the link I've provided, its clear that Bradley knew full well what he was doing, he wasn't in any position to play the ball and even tho the contact was minimal, he & his action put himself in a position where the ref needed to make a decision. The laws of the game state "Strikes or attempts to strike an opponent" is a direct freekick / penalty offence
I don't doubt that . Nor do I doubt that Rice would also have been involed in the signings earlier in the season . The main point I was making though is that it is a tad early to suggest any of the new signings are likely to be duds !
No down vote, you are entitled to your opinion, I don't personally think he "strikes" him or attempts to, from the replay I think he swings his arm a bit wildly and it barely brushed him, so maybe fair if unfortunate penalty but harsh red. Was absolutely furious at the time but it happens, and we didn't really help ourselves with the way we attacked (or didn't) with 10 men but that is never easy and Rav and the remaining defenders did very well.
A frustrating afternoon and in the end, that's probably a good point. We really should've been 2 or 3-0 up by the time of the red card - particular missed chances from Humphreys in the first half and Skura in the second - but the red certainly changed the game. Brilliant penalty save from Franco, but the goal was always coming. Annoying last minute winner for Wrexham (again) but the gap extends further over Huddersfield and is still 4 over Wrexham, with a superior GD and them needing to come to AP. It's very much in our hands.
A week off from the league is probably good timing. Get the likes of Kone, Low, Harvie and Grimmer fit, before having an aggressive run at the next 3 games. 9 points on the table there if we turn up.
A word on Sam Grace - 8 points from his 4 games is a superb return in the circumstances. It may seem frustrating for the draws to be against Northampton and Cambridge, but I think we'd all have taken 8 points from those 4 games had the results been the other way with draws Vs Mansfield and Barnsley.
All eyes on Dan Rice over the next few days which could be season defining. One or two more ins, keeping hold of Kone (and Low) and a new Head Coach announcement all hopefully to come before the Preston game.
First time I've told anyone to shut up actually ! Probably the first time ive ever raised my voice on here as it happens. Just sick of it, Was hoping we'd all agreed to disagree and move on, well a lot of us had anyway ! Then someone pipes up again to stir it up. Personally I'm in neither camp as I can see things good and bad from both sides, unlike others ! People are threatening to leave here as its become so bad. @glasshalffull put it perfectly this morning, I'm guessing a lot must have skipped past it. Shame.

Footballers try to gain an advantage. It's easy to have a go, but our guys are just the same.

Been invisible
We wrote the book under Ainsworth 😂

It takes all sorts…
I personally don’t expect Sam Vokes to be involved much at all apart from the coaching.
Fred is an enigma. I would actually prefer to see Kodua in that position.
The comments about Morrison certainly chime with my observations.
I’d imagine Vokes will still be useful for the odd 10 minute cameo. Expect him to play some sort at Preston
If Kone is out:
Left: Fred or Berry (till Sads is back)
9: Udoh or Lubala
Right: GMac or Kodua
It's really just round pegs in round holes.
Morley was on the bench I believe today.

This is why we need manager fast . Expect more of this as the pressure mounts . Which it will .

We didn’t loose, so to be pedantic it cost us two points as we actually got one.

The penalty is up on F’book. Does look bad from the behind the goal camera but I’m not sure that angle was what the ref saw.
There’s a lot of football between now and May. We need to get ahold of ourselves a little bit.
Sack Otter87 for being unloyal disloyal and,,,for,,,knowing the rules of the game.

Comment of the day. In the words of the great man, never too high, never too low. In the context of the game a very good point. On to the next one.
Lubala is wasted out wide. It is baffling we refuse to give Berry a chance and have an actual specialist wide player there.
Sads injury has cost us a lot.
Oh @Kim_il_Swan I tip my hat to you for your humour and excellent sense of double negatives!
Can you stop telling everyone to shut up when there’s a mention of Rice? He is the gaffer after all.
I don't think the ref had a good game today and it's the normal case of inconsistency again. I don't get how the FA keep getting it SO wrong!
He was better than the lino but that isn't any sort of compliment.

Just back. Knee jerk observations
Appalling referee. Not just the big decision all of it.
We need fullbacks. Skura was ok, Leahy’s tactic of letting their fullback cross time after time in the hope he tired himself out was questionable.
The Danish lads are not up to speed.
Fred is one of the most frustrating players of recent times. He can tear teams apart single handed.
Points dropped. For whatever reason points dropped.
