Didn't watch the match today, but have just seen the Bradley incident, for everyone moaning it shouldn't have been a penalty, I can guarantee if it was against us you'd be demanding one ! Sending off ? I'm not so sure though
To be fair to Bradley, most defenders do that every match when they go for a header, most times there is no contact with the forward, occassionaly there is, not often do the forwrds tumble to the floor like they have been hit with an iron bar.
Much worse goes unpunished most weeks, from the all-in wrestling at corners, the shirt pulling, the sly ankle taps, the deliberate running into etc. If refs applied that low a bar every game it would be 5-a-side by half time.
The signings are Dan Rice signings, probably why Bloomfield left. If they prove to be duds and our promotion push suffers as a result then that’s on Dan Rice.
We got a point and we move on however we have let another opportunity slip...against 2 of the bottom 5...this is where an experienced head coach helps you ...Grace and Vokes been immense , please don't give it to this sunderland number 2 with a win rate of 20%!!
We are such a different proposition without Kone, or even Vokes, to hold the ball. We’re also playing out from the back a lot less than we were earlier in the season and having the ball come back at us a lot more because of it.
Dan Udoh did pretty well first half, issue if anything is wider, if Bez and Fred aren't on it and creating chances or beating people it's basically 3 up front waiting for chances, unlikely with 11, impossible with 10.
The new signings can't all start, they need to get in, but they aren't trainees, pitch is green, goal is 3 metal bars and a lick of paint, get on it.
We got into the 10 men trap of taking off your best creator and having no outball too but we have no given right to anything, league table still looks very good, work your nuts off lads and whatever people are saying we'll ALL be happy to sneak up under peoples radars
A couple of observations about Michael Morrison, the Cambridge central defender.
A few minutes before half time we had a corner or free kick from the left. There’s always plenty of shirt grabbing/pushing and shoving in those situations but on that occasion Morrison was actually wrestling Bradley to the ground. Just as much an offence as an arm brushing the back or side of a player’s head. Yellow card and penalty in both cases.
The other observation was the sight of Gmac and the aforementioned Michael Morrison having a really big hug after the final whistle. I guess they were good mates at Reading.
This forum has become so bitchy. Not sure I want to be part of it anymore....
On a positive spin. January was always going to unsettle us. I can't wait for the transfer window to shut so we can get back to business. Morley would be nice, weve missed him a lot. I do think we need a full back too. Not sure we need a winger with Berry and Sadlier to come back.

Why are you getting so stroppy? Your team won in the last minute because of their great new signings.
Terrible decision. Surely anyone having a go at Bradley is on a wind up?
Just seen it, he clearly threw his arm out, probably happens most games and not spotted. But, he made a mistake and got spotted.
It's careless/reckless more than anything, but you can't do that
And two fewer games for them to close it

Stupid to swing an arm like that, but I think he brushed the top of his hair.
Definitely no contact on the face.
So frustrating as we were completely untroubled up to that point.
Players do not go smacking each other in the face 25 times a game

Didn't Eaves do much the same to Joe Low last game, and no card was even given?
He didn’t touch his face. At best the arm clipped him in the back of the head and then went over.
There was no smack in the face.
The difference to Eaves on Low is like chalk and cheese.
Morrison had everything go for him today, niggly fouls left right and centre.
Ok, forehead - still violent conduct

He didn’t touch his forehead.
The player was facing away from the arm.
Eaves broke Low's nose and didnt even get a talking to from the ref, Bradley rearranged Morrison's hair & gets a red; make it make sense please.
It happens loads, some refs see it, some don't.
Disappointed with how we reacted and thought we could've kept the ball much better with 10 men.
What is wrong with Fred? Looks afraid to take people on.
It was a showing of why we can't let Kone go. We simply don't know how to attack without him

Always thought we looked a lot better with Sadlier in the team. When is he back ?
Oh shut up for gods sake !!
Another night of bickering and arguments ... Great, maybe it is time to leave

3 weeks, fingers crossed. We are so one-dimensional playing a 9 out wide.

Cambridge player suffers from sensitive hair syndrome .
Off the pitch, Michael Morrison is one of football’s good guys. On it, I’m afraid he’s the master of gamesmanship.
