Dean Ashton was covering our game on Sky Sports News. I’ve just flicked over in time for his summary and he said we were terrific. He wasn’t 100% on the penalty as apparently the lad got a touch of the ball but he said the red card was ridiculous from the Barnsley player.
He also was really complimentary of Kone’s header, said it was a great technique to finish off a brilliant cross.
Under pressure with the early goal and having seemingly barely won a league game here in months and we produce that comeback!
The winner was brilliant anyway but made even better by the absolute shimmering ape a few rows behind, screaming "why are you slowing it down McCleary" seconds before McCleary produced that superb cross.
I did wonder if it was konetheking behind me as he was on at Leahy with his obnoxious foul mouth all game. Like maybe try and support your team!
Back to positives that league table looks amazing now. Who would have predicted Wrexham would lose at home to Stevenage!!
Wonderful game of football! Best performance in ages. I'd have been happy enough with a draw, but we fully deserved the win. That said Barnsley had their chances aswell.
Small crowd, but probably the best atmosphere of the season, with the crowd really getting behind the side. Amazing scenes at the end!
Re-watched the winner and that’s an incredible effort from GMac. Blocked the ball, chased it down, kept it in, carried it for quite a while, and put it straight onto Kone’s head.
GMagic is a 24-carat legend. So pleased he is about to get to 200 appearances for us, and when you add the 30 goals and 29 assists at an advanced age, he has been incredible!
Highly advise all listen to Sam Grace’s interview. He’s always a stellar interview, but even more enjoyable tonight. Very good bloke. His wry smile was almost visible in audio format when he hit back to suggest that ‘Kone couldn’t have done that over 95 mins tonight if he started on Saturday’. Lots of other very interesting bits in there.
Context required (please let me save face) - they were pants tonight and I said at half time that we dominated and I was confident that we’d win. Obviously even more so after they went down to ten!
Of course you can have your hand back.
I’d have ripped the other one off for a win with Wrexham and Huddersfield losing. I’m absolutely delighted!!!! What a performance.
Barnsley forum almost disappointingly fair. Though many of them dispute the reffing decisions, they mostly said they were absolutely dominated and did not deserve anything anyway. No fun!
What a brilliant interview. He sounds such an intelligent, articulate and tactically astute guy. Loved his comment re Kone’s minutes over the last couple of games, and also made complete sense talking about the new signings. I can completely understand why he’s reluctant to throw them all in and disrupt the harmony of the existing squad that’s done so well to get us to the position we are in. I can see he’s not long term manager material (I think he’s a reluctant manager) but I’m more than happy for him to stay in position while we take our time finding the right man.

This season is as emotionally exhausting as watching a four hour war movie. And still 18 (league) games to go!
Hear hear, he's fast becoming one of my favourite Wycombe players of all time.
If Dan Rice sells Kone now, the man should get so much stick that he never dare set foot in Adams Park again, in fact I’d rather Rice went to Luton.
We are Wycombe Wanderers.
Congratulations to Jack Grimmer on his 200th Wycombe appearance, and to Franco Ravizzoli on his 50th.
Up next, GMagic (199).

In basically a calendar year, Kone has made it into the top 25 for (league era) goals:
How many appearances for Kone? 30 G/A in 12 months is silly, quite frankly. What a gem
I've even given him a shout on Untappd!
Absolutely huge win that one.

Just got home. Well that was beyond words.
Yes absolutely brilliant.

Just got home... I'm full of adrenaline, going to be hard to sleep. Special night, special player. What a time to be alive!!!

In the moments that matter, you want him there.
When was the last time we had the lead goal scorer in league one at the start of February?
Only 58, many of which were as a sub!

Interesting to see JJ had 99 goals / assists and Bayo had 100 !
It was Kone throw to Fred wasn't it?

Credit where credit due, we were fantastic especially 2nd half , Kone has the x factor and makes us tick ....get in their you blues!!!
@frequentstander can I have my hand back now?
Comes across as a terrific guy. Well done on the points return SG 👏
