What a load of nonsense this place is becoming. Why on earth are Bloomfield’s head traumas during his playing days coming into this discussion?! Absolutely irrelevant.
To bring it back to topic... I don't believe that keeping Kone guarantees promotion, but I do believe that selling him at this stage in the window would almost certainly guarantee that we don't get promoted.
I don’t have skin in the game? I’m not all in on Bloomfield or all in on Rice? I’ve barely commented on the whole saga because, quite honestly, I think the entire discussion has been totally embarrassing for all involved. Infantile nonsense.
Even if we do accept a figure for Kone, they still need to agree terms with him AND Kone needs to want to leave.
From his posts online & the impression he gives off, he has a debt here that he wants to pay off for the opportunity we gave him & still wants to learn from those around him
We definitely need you to join the moderation team.
With your ref background you have the skillz to decide if someone needed a quiet word (PM), more of a visible telling off, or issue them with a yellow card.
Professional debt, yes. Personal debt, he might think he has a little way to go. If he's the player I think he is, he'll want to pay back and help those teammates he's been working alongside to help them achieve the dream goal of promotion
I hope we have the ability to just say a blanket no to any bids, leave it until the summer and not even consider it but it's probably overly simplistic to say that ML is minted so money is no object.
He has given or lent his mate some money for a project, and likely allowed more than first expected with plenty more being required to reach the targets so a bid that clears that all down and some so soon won't be rejected without any consideration.
On balance if we aren't up against it though he's at minimum worth a gamble at being worth a lot more in the summer as will the club be in a higher division with huge away support, sell out crowds and TV coverage.

Udoh replaced by Kone or vice versa. Berry pinging the crosses in. Exciting times.

Because we have to hate one or the other of them on every single thread.
This page has definitely slipped back into the stupid after a brief resurgence of sense following the doc's shock outburst.

Reminder the ignore button still exists. Most people still fairly civil, couple of obvious WuMs
Btw are those two eejits who ran Sunderland back in football? Kone could go for £30m.
Imagine making light of injuries which could lead to someone developing dementia later in life
It's a poster who has about 35 posts and almost every one of them is criticising one of our players/manager.

I can promise that the defending Blooms from jibes will stop at the exact same time that jibes towards Blooms stop.
In @drcongo absence, Pack it in! You've made the same point again and again, Move on and bring something new to the conversation!
I think trousering us 8-10m would certainly pay any debt off, don't you.
Imagine the selection of crisps we could get with £10m
We’re in chairlift territory at £10m
I do worry about the James Richings curse though...
Posted an article in the BFP about Blooms saying he looks forward to a long time with the club on the Saturday, leaves on the Tuesday.
Posts an article about Taff returning to fitness soon. Taff leaves on loan the next day.
Posts an article yesterday with quotes from Sam Grace saying how Kone wants to play with Wycombe in the Championship...
From a very quick Google, looks like we could build the chairlift and still have a couple of mil left for crisps

Could definitely go both ways couldn't it.
Obviously we all hope that we keep everyone and give it the best go.
Perhaps he feels he owes that personal debt to the man who bought to him to the club.
Flippin heck, you can always find a way to make us all feel worse, it's a real talent!!
Two things:
1. We're building a rollercoaster too?
2. Are we trying to emulate Oxford? What happened to the away end?!
*bows
Oxford glitch removed!
Ooh yes, now we have those San Siro-esque spiral walkways
now we are playing in stripes. Do you have Alan Smith’s missus playing with your peripherals?
