I may be completely wrong but I think Bolton, with Murphy and Randell in, will have to sell/release to bring in more, so I still hope there is business to be done for Morley.
I think if MB was still here I would probably agree that we would still want Morley subject to the fee being reasonably proportionate (which from what i've heard and seen may not actually be the case).
However, now MB has left I really can't see any prospect of us buying a player that I'm not sure the data analytics in charge actually want (the evidence of their eyes obviously not being sufficient. Maybe)
Morley not changing club on his social media is probably clutching at straws.
He's probably just forgotten to!
But now we've got Scowen, Humphreys, 850k Westy, Leahy, Bakinson, Butcher and there's rumours of the Rangers youngster, it probably seems a dead in the water deal.
Bakinson has been a regular squaddie, whereas Butcher has barely had a look in.
But as long as Westergaard is up to speed early doors, then between he and Leahy-Scowen-Humphreys, we probably only need 1 of the 2 as cover for what we hope is just 20 more league games. Plus 3-4 more FA cup games 😘
Good forward planning on ticket. We now find out 4 weeks before what games are being moved for Sky so will know on 1 Feb whether it will be shown on there (I’d have money on it being a 12.30)
I suggested posting discussion about the Birmingham match on the FA Cup thread but that wouldn’t be right either. But conducting it on the Morley thread just arouses interest about the outside possibility of his return which is then immediately quashed. It isn’t going to happen now, in any case.
We’ve moved on. Those wonderful MB lineups which took us to the top will now be manipulated to incorporate all the new signings. It will take a month or two for them to gel and my fear is that the potential loss of impetus will significantly reduce the chance of automatic promotion. But let’s look on the bright side. The new players and the formations the new Head Coach goes for should be well established by the time we go to Wembley in the playoffs.

I'm not so sure the links between Luton and Wycombe are going to be a happy conga line.
Aaron STILL has Wycombe as his team and playing in a Wycombe shirt as his profile picture on Instagram.
I see Bolton have signed Alex Murphy on-loan from Newcastle.
Apparently Joel Randell is ‘shocked’ by atmosphere at Bolton.

Perhaps the club could rustle together a 1:34 video on Morley's time here to give some closure!
Or buy an 850k guy as his replacement!
I know. My head has accepted, my heart not quite ready. He would have effing loved those celebrations after Mansfield.
I’ll zip it now and Feb 1st will give full, unequivocal closure!!
Meanwhile in Exeter, they are having a parade because they don't have to play Morley again this season.
And then we can have an additional closure on 2nd before finally having the final final closure (and transfer window closure) on 3rd Feb 😉
😂
I wanted him back badly. One of the most impressive midfielders we’ve had in many years. Oh well, probably not to be.
I dont think its quite dead in the water yet. Lets see what the long game brings.
How long a game? A week and a half long or do you mean future windows?
Ian Evatt now sacked apparently. Don’t know if that means anything for Morley.
Probably lessens any chance of him leaving as the new guy will want to assess the squad.
Whoever on here it was who called this sacking yesterday was spot on!

To be honest, if we were to sell, release or loan out the Bakinson or Butcher to make room, would that have a massive effect on our season?

I think the change of manager kills off any potential move
I’d already booked my train ticket for the Mar 1st game against Brum but would be happy to sacrifice that for a longer FA cup run.

If anything, the change of manager means Schumacher will probably go to them instead of us!
We actually need to wait until February 8th as it would need to move from that weekend if either us or Birmingham reach the FA Cup 5th round
I can’t see Birmingham beating Newcastle but can see us turning over PNE
It was £36 return next day from Euston. So not the end of the world, but still annoying.
What I posted was nonsensical. So I deleted it.
