I don’t tend to watch MOTD but I think Colin Murray would have been my pick. He’s a fantastic, knowledgeable presenter and done a brilliant job with EFL on Quest.
All perfectly nice and good at what they do, sure it will be fine unless people kick off, which they will and it'll go the way of Top Gear, better than the way of TOTP I guess .

2029 Wycombe?
Not sure if this is counted as ‘Other Football’ or not, but it is Sol Campbell.

So glad this isn't the manager thread
Forest lead Liverpool. Such an insanely good team on the break.
Good old 1980s top of the table clash 😉
Gibbs White is a very clever player. They have recruited really well last year or two after making a mess of it on promotion
Has he been in the England senior squad yet? Will be soon if not.
2 caps
Well I've been living under a rock! Shame Wood isn't English really.
Nah, recent games have been borefests, thought he was there or thereabouts but had to look it up despite probably watching them
Ten years time when the Trust is back in control and Gareth returns...first signing.
And the Ice Cream King is Chairman
Something else for us all to be upset/pleased/not bothered/wait until I've seen them in action...
It's confirmed by BBC that Kelly Cates, Mark Chapman and Gabby Logan will be the new Match of the Day presenters from next season.
I don't generally watch MOTD so it doesn't really bother me who presents it but I do think Gabby Logan is an exceptional presenter.
All three are seasoned presenters. I don't care that much.
(I did winch when watching Football Focus when Alex said : '...Accrington and Stanley...' )

MK Dons owners in trouble next for fraudulently pretending to have a real football club?
Bolton have just sold their top scorer to… Huddersfield, of all teams.
“Bolton Wanderers can confirm that striker Dion Charles has today completed a permanent move to Huddersfield Town for an undisclosed fee.
We'd like to thank Dion for all of his efforts at Wanderers and wish him the best of luck for the future. “

That is crazy. Maybe us not signing Morley has meant they need to sell another of the squad. Weird they would sell to Huddersfield though.
Sorry it’s not - was BFP link.
They might think Huddersfield are nailed on for automatics now after our week of hell and Wrexham being average at best.
Shrewsbury have signed the joint top scorer from the National League North, Callum Stewart. I hope he "does a Kone" for them!
They have also lost Bloxham to Blackpool and one or two others have returned to parents clubs, so it seems like there will be a lot of change.
Do us a solid against Wrexham, GA!
Blimming heck, are Bolton specifically trying to ruck us up this season
