Not bigging ourselves up too much, but I would find that a bit underwhelming given the names being bandied about and the exciting possibility of signing the off the radar Scandi Pep.
Unless Lommy runs a betting company and is about to make a killing.
Pretty obvious that the Danes are incoming because of guidance from someone who knows Danish football in depth. Someone who wants to hit the ground running.
Lightbulb moment. Claus has secretly been in charge for the last month and has been choosing tranfer targets. Though when he becomes head coach tomorrow he won't be able to.......hmmmmm
Good luck Matt, thanks for some very special memories.
Our path lies with Dan Rice and the ownership group. The momentum is building for the way this club's story will develop over the next 5 to 10 years plus. As fans, we are but passengers on the journey (for better or worse that decision is ancient history now). I remember reading posts in times gone by about wouldn't it be great if a billionaire bought us and we chased the dream. This is the start of what that looks like!!
I do wonder if 'the long term project' was to build a team for a promotion push by next season or the season after, when the academy might be settling in. But our short term success has accelerated plans somewhat.
I have no idea who will be the next manager - strike that - clearly it'll be the head coach, but whoever is picked will definitely tell us a huge amount about the project.
My take is that the differences between MB and DR were probably managed amicably. Taking the Guardian article at face value about Matt being interviewed at Millwall, its possible Matt was told quite clearly what the long term plan was and he should look to make the most of his success by securing a decent role elsewhere.
It was also an interesting point about the new players coming in from Scandinavia. But I also hope our players cope okay with this change. It would take a humungous effort to get some consistency back and starting with taking 3 points at Mansfield. Good luck guys.
So if the suggestion is that the new manager is the assistant at Brentford, another rumour said he was approached a week ago … Seems to contradict the idea that the owners wanted their own man in and were happy to let Matt go. Surely if this was the case they would have had this arranged months ago … let’s just hope they know what they are doing .
Des Buckingham would be a solid appointment, Oxford were idiots for sacking him. But the fact they were his last club might not sit well with some fans.
I had an experience where I was part of a group coming in to restructure a company with terrible processes and a toxic culture. Even after the restructure was a massive, measurable success, those of us who came in to do it were treated with disdain, and once we gradually left for places we were more appreciated, successful processes we put in were reversed, so that the people running the show could try and look like the smartest people in the room.
Success can actually annoy some people if it does not look like their doing.

Thank you. 👍
Hmm, not sure about this. Was shit at Charlton. https://x.com/MikeKeegan_DM/status/1879209279741100329
Coming from the Saudi league so he's a man of high principle.

this would not go down well with the fans....the next appointment will make ir break the fan group.
I heard Luke Leahy was his favourite Wycombe player...
haha very good
Steve Gritt is ‘available’ too.
Read the BFP article on Noorgard (if you can call it that) and came away thinking I would probably prefer Sammy Saunders.
Heard from a good source that it’s been in negotiation for about a week and it’s all but signed off as Claus Norgaard.
Can you provide any more details about this "good source"? How close to decision making is he/she?

At least he’ll understand and accept the ‘culture’.

Dan Rice and the Ownership Group.
It’s no Lloyd Cole and the Commotions is it?
Going loco down in Adamsparko
Eduard ready to be heartbroken?
Kid Creole and The Coconuts maybe?
More like Dump's Rusty Nuts....
Much more positive since our manager in waiting scored the equaliser against Man City, does that make it less likely? I lose track.
I wonder if Sam Grace will be under consideration. Seems to be well thought of.
No chance

Already too late for a number of Brighton fans with their manager who's a few months older than me
Nice to see an outbreak of puns. Nature is healing.
Have we got it twisted?...
The powers above were happy with Matt and the success he was achieving...
.... however Matty didn't like the way and the direction the owners are going? thus feeling unheard and unwanted as his views didn't match theirs?
I mean.... how could they not be happy with a top 2 position??
*edit * I'm just pondering out loud
