Please note that the first-team's busy schedule of league and national cup fixtures, coupled with the 3G surface at Beaconsfield's home stadium, makes it unlikely that Wanderers will field first-team players during this fixture.
The last time we went there Junior M missed a shoot out penalty to maintain his record as a striker of never scoring for The Chairboys.
But that was against Beaconsfield SCYOB (or something like that) so how come their badge claims 1921? Makes our ‘87 vs ‘84 debate look like small change.
I think 2017 was the year that Beaconsfield United demerged from SYCOB, after they originally merged in 1994. 1921 is when Beaconsfield United were formed, also a merger of two unknown clubs. The Beaconsfield Town Wiki page has the formation date as 1994.
My golden rule is that a merger forms a new club, so 1921 should not be on their club badge, probably should be 2017. It could be 1994 if it was just a name change, but I think it was more than that.
Sam Grace will be managing from the dugout, MB will be there, probably up on the TV gantry, as for the PSF there against Aylesbury United. Matt's message:
"I know there is a huge amount of pride from our supporters to be part of that competition so it’s very important.
Of course, we won’t be able to play any first-team boys because of the schedule that we just had, so it will be a few development boys and a few trialists and a few academy trialists as well.
This is exciting for the football club and I am excited to watch them.”
The Rams are hoping for a bigger crowd than the 370 against Flackwell Heath on Boxing Day, 300 programmes will be printed. The match will be live streamed, presumably on their YouTube channel https://m.youtube.com/@beaconsfieldtownfc
As one of their club officials told the BFP, their crowds have fallen sharply since relegation. They’ve never been the best supported side locally, despite having a really good youth dev programme across all age groups and a decent facility for the level. Good bar as well although feels very full when crowds go above 200-300. Seems strange they’d want to potentially limit their pay day by offering a live stream.

On the B & B site, our match at Beaconsfield is now showing as Tuesday 14 January at 19:45, when it was blank before. No word yet from either club.
Now confirmed on 14 Jan by Beaconsfield Town. I wonder if any of the youth players training at Harlington can be used for this.
I would assume we can given that we’ve often played a team full of trialists.

No first teamers but I bet a number of the development squad are featuring
Surely we've got the 2 lads that signed today, and Woodhouse, Ward, Bartolo, are the other lads out on loan allowed to play ?
Then fill the rest of the places with lads that came in for trials at the academy.
I am tempted to go I must admit, but I'd like to know if Woodhouse, Ward etc are playing first
At least the club have been honest by saying ...

Beaconsfield advanced online prices:
Adult - £8.00
Concessions - £4.50 - OAPs and children under 16
Under 16 - free when accompanied by paying adult
Pay on the night will be more expensive, it doesn't say how much more.
I doubt that we could play triallists in a competition that comes under FA jurisdiction.
We've done it before
We had six unnamed triallists against Long Crendon.
Matton and Dotse have both been called back from Bracknell as well, so there's another 2 available
Ok thanks, didn’t realise that as I have no great interest in this competition.
As mentioned in the loan thread, Ward and Bartolo back from Weymouth so they'll both probably play too.

ok a bit of an aside but I recall last time I went their (maybe the B&B about a thousand years ago) the burgers were really good and great value....

They have a complicated history and the club itself say they were formed in 2017:

That's right, it was SYCOB when I had the good burger.....

I thought that as well, was undecided whether to go or not, now I know there's a live stream I probably wont
Beaconsfield have just posted that the live stream will cost £5.50.
"Can't make the county cup game on Tuesday against @wwfcofficial? We have you covered!
We are delighted to announce we will be live streaming the game for just £5.50!
