Well, if our overlords are not interested in promotion, they seem to be purchasing players at a decent age for next season's League One campaign they won't want to win as it does not fit their plan.
Certainly some striking data. A bit of a do it all midfielder with some height? Seems to be the club aren’t best pleased with how Bakinson’s panned out. This guy strikes me as an equally tall and physical threat, but with improved chance creation.
Not often I agree with Mr empty but...if the money is there Morley is younger, fits in with the culture and would have a good resale value. Data or not, It would be disappointing for all of us inside or outside the club, I suspect.
True. If Evatt wants £850,000 they may think best go Nordic. Do the players even still frequent the bistros of Marlow? Or are they now dazzled by the bright lights of West London?
I said last season that we should be looking to the Scandinavian leagues to recruit some quality players, and people on here said that was nonsense, and downvoted me.
If it included mention of parking charges and legal action, or your post was before we had five billion and the manager made choices that fit our club culture that might explain the downvotes?
We all now what Evatt is like, it wouldn't surprise me at all if he wants at least a million for Morley. Hopefully he'll see things like this and thinks.... shit, I really wanted to sell him, perhaps I should've gone lower !

What the hell is going on!

No Morley no cry

Do they have a stat for not being a cock or a cheat?
(l wonder what Danny Hylton's figures look like.)
"League One-topklubben" - we need that on a tifo
I mean, among all of the other questions this raises, are we really going to spend £850,000 on Magnus Westergaard when Aaron Morley is… right there?
And sung to the tune of Uptown Top Ranking
Thank god I didn't use my little mermaid joke on the Anders thread.

Computer says no
Bolton might want silly money for Morley
Although I wouldn't say this rules him out
When lommy realised he was worth 40 billion kroner he decided Danish players were a bargain or something
Signing both? Told you that this would be a good transfer window.
Shamal George out for ‘some time’. Bishop here for the season then.

Not so daft now.
Hopefully Evatt isn't reading the gasroom or he'll squeeze that Morley price higher

Well this is interesting. I hope the Imray rumours are true too, he looks very accomplished.

Or we may just be warning Evatt that we've got other "irons in the fire", so buying Morley for a grossly inflated fee isn't going to happen.
This one seems too advanced - and the info is come out of the Danish end - to suggest it is a game to lower Morley fee.
It's the same source that broke Anders' transfer too, so you'd assume this one is nailed on.
I'm still trying to adjust to us spending this sort of money on players. Raiding the Scandinavian market makes it all the more intriguing.
This is being reported in Denmark’s leading football newspaper, just as Anders was.
This is fantastic news. My son is a VFF season ticket holder, so we regularly see him in action.
Box to box midfielder, a real unit (6’ 3” ish), comfortable on the ball like most Danes and strong in the tackle.
Great work from the data people.
Will good data in Scandinavian leagues automatically translate into good data in League One?
I guess we'll find out.
