jordan williams, tom mcintyre, rob atkinson, owen moxon, freddie potts, paddy lane. that kamara they spent a million on and had good pedigree coming through psg then dortmund
He was born in 1986 so must have left in 2004. I left in 1991 but both of us probably taught football skills by Trevor Whitby (he seems to have learnt more)
I’m gonna carry on boring about Butcher. Same as last season when he came in players around him played better. Leahy especially was much better last night than recently as Butcher did things he doesn’t. Which allowed Leahy to be more creative. Our midfield was a void on Tuesday. Last night it was a rigid organised unit.
A little comment about Gideon. He’s unlikely to play for West Ham unless the new manager starts to offer realistic pathways for young players - which it might be too late now for Gideon. He would certainly be one I would love to sign.
That’s a cracker. Said with northern Irish accent. Forgotten the name of the late comedian who might have said that - his punctuality obviously wasn’t that good!! - but I was front of house selling programmes one evening and he said “Arll be fonny tonait. I was last nait ”. I forced a wee chuckle.
He wasn’t a very nice man. We were on holiday in Ilfracombe one year (yes, I know!) and we went to see him with our young daughter. He was in the bar after the show, sitting up at the bar counter. We suggested to our daughter that he would probably sign the programme if she asked nicely. She did ask but he was very offhand, signed the programme and turned back to his drink without a word.
He did the Christmas do at the company I just joined in 1987, familiar with his early evening and Tiswas TV persona...I was shocked (even for back then) at his racist and sexist material. This was a posh hotel as well. My girlfriend at the time, thinking I was taking her to a classy do was appalled.

🤐
Delighted that you have been so impressed by a player you didn’t exactly enthuse about when he signed.
Aye, that’s a good way of putting it. I wasn’t enthused but I am now. I would even go as far as to say he looked classy last night.
There was a moment where he stepped out after reading a pass, made the interception and then played a pass into Luke Leahy’s feet.
He looks really fit, his first touch and passing has been spot-on and he’s done what he’s renowned for, swatting away opponents.
Impressive for him to slot straight in for 2 quick back to back outings having not played much this season.
If we get Everton at Goodison in the next round I'm starting a crowdfunding thread so we can book a box for @ryan_w_kirkby2 and his kids.

And with two different centre back partners and three different keepers.
Sorry wrong quote.

Mooneyboy (Kelsey) on for Stanley at Anfield.
Oh you big tease😘
I was thinking it might be a bit cramped in that box with that lot in there too.

I’ve remembered. Frank Carson.

Frank Carson
He was a Director of Newport County.

Is that why your girlfriend binned you!
As an ex Challoners boy a bit ahead of you though as I left in 78
