I know they’re different players (Randall / Morley) but my glass is ‘half full’ with Morley coming to us. I have nothing to base that on other than hopes and prayers. But the Morley spotted in Maidenhead snippets has given me further hope.
Yes Gary, potentially to Huddersfield which would be a shame. To be fair Dions not been great this season although Evatt has regularly limited him to 20 minute spells at the end of games. Evatt seems to prefer McAtee and Collins so I suspect Dion will be on his way. I’d expect a few others as well perhaps Adeboyejo and Arfield are the most likely because to get the 3 or 4 Evatt wants we have to make space because at the moment we’re full which is why my moneys still on Morley to you guys. Good bit of business for you this morning with the Scandinavian who sounds very promising and should be some consolation if Low does move on. Interesting window for us both this one.

Tuesday’s game for us was an absolute blueprint that we are lacking a Morley-esque type player. I have everything crossed Evatt makes the call and some business can be done.
I don’t get the logic behind the conspiracy theory that “the ownership group” don’t like Morley’s data. He wouldn’t have been allowed to join us, in theory for a whole season, without some kind of data approval stamp in the first place, and from when he joined to when he went back, we lost just one league game. Given how instrumental he’s been in this achievement, his data must surely only be enhanced from what it was?
I think that's right @LeedsBlue. Anyone who has seen us play this season knows how integral Morley is to our team.
The issue (IMO) is clearly Bolton's valuation. The fact we offered a loan instead of a transfer suggests we're world's apart - I suspect they're asking for £1m+. Which doesn't surprise me - Evatt may not fancy the lad but clearly doesn't want to have us to have him.
I feel sorry for Morley and Sadlier. One of them has to come back from injury and immediately provide the crosses we have been missing and if the other one comes back to the Marlow bistros he's got to ensure the promotion we demand.
I still think the problem might be wages. Morley would want at least the level he's currently on at Bolton which will be way above what we pay. Our other senior players would demand parity and consequently our wage budget would then be in breach of the Financial Rules.
Surely there are ways around this in the contractual? Such as 'softing' his salary towards maybe accommodation? I'm assuming this goes away a little bit more IF we get to the Championship?
Reading on Twitter, some of their fans have not only turned on Evatt but now also their captain and owner. Will this be Morley’s first league defeat of the season??

Has to be..if they were asking say 300-400k it wouldn't make any sense offering 100k for a mere loan.

If he was on 1k a week, but getting 7k a week in other perks, I can't imagine other players would suddenly think that's fine!
Surely any player signing from League One, no matter how good he is, won't be on a higher salary than, say, Fred?
Birmingham probably have numerous players above our top earner.
