Not everything is Torquay away. Fans can recalibrate their expectations. I’ll be delighted if we finish top 4. I would’ve been pleased finishing ninth before the season started. The squad have shown that they are capable and deserving of a top four place. If we finish seventh, so be it. We have the quality to exceed that though. This is the best Wycombe team ever.
I already feel as though I will look back on this season very fondly no matter what happens from here. "Remember when we scored goals for fun in the strongest L1 ever?"
Wrexham have played 13 of 23 matches at home. They’re top of the league at home, significantly worse away. Second half of the season could be quite challenging for them.
We’ve played 9 of 22 at home. Our home record is 20 points from 9.
He is a brilliant person and loves Wycombe dearly, that's why people were happy to give him the benefit of the doubt a year ago when we were rubbish, seems odd for some not to cut him and the team a bit of slack now after an amazing year. Really like the thought of what he might have up his sleeve for January too, scouting good prospects isn't only for other clubs.
Interesting to note that over the last two fixtures, every team in the division was either at home twice or away twice (does anyone know why?). Only four clubs managed to win both games: Reading, Leyton Orient, Barnsley, and Charlton. Of those four, three had back-to-back home games. Barnsley were the exception, winning twice on the road. Wycombe and Mansfield were the only other clubs to secure away wins across those 24 games.
That suggests two things to me. Firstly, that it's a significant advantage to be playing at home, on Boxing Day and especially three days later. Second, three points from two away games in three days in not to be sniffed at.
For the next two rounds of fixtures it's the other way round, and it will be intersting to compare if there is a similar home advantage - especially for the games on the 4th Jan.
Wycombe didn't do too badly for distance of the aways at least. Imagine getting stung with say Exeter away and Barnsley away over 3 days. That'd be a killer travel wise.
I think you're missing the point. Regardless of whether you drink or not, you'd think the price for "2 pints" would less than "1 pint". Ot why advertise the "2 pints"??
My posts (if any) might go downhill from now as the local garage was selling cans of lager for 3 quid or four-packs for 12. With a bargain like that I had to buy a suitcase full.....

I didn't and don't intend to name names so there's no need to defend yourself.
The EFL announced a rule change a couple of weeks back. It's only a penalty in L1 if the ball hits someone in the back.

It's completely unrealistic to expect us to go the whole season without an off day. That's not apathy.
It's also completely fine to be pissed off when we have an off day. That's not a tantrum.

Really?
Chipping it into an empty net is a simple finish for a professional striker in my view.
If he'd missed I think we'd all be describing it as a huge let off.
Not from that sort of angle with a defender pressuring imo

I was taken aback by the deal Charlton had on lagers yesterday. Couldn't resist 2 pints at that price!
As a non drinker, I can't even tell if that's a good price for a pint or not. Sounds expensive to me!
And who has a wine at a football game? Assume that's unusual?
A whine, very much so, a wine, not so much.

I seem to remember that in either last year or the year prior only one or two teams in the EFL picked up 9 points from 9 over the festive period

I think it's just doing the maths so mentally challenged football fans don't have to
In London that is pretty much free beer.
In the North of England it would be seen as very expenxive in 'That London'
the most shocking thing on that sign is 'half a pint' for £3.30!
If the wine is by the bottle that is a fucking steal!
I got it, don't worry. Just standard to price it all pro rata isn't it? Don't think they need to do "deals" at a footy game!
You have to display prices for each measure you sell so presumably they had a 2 pint glass as well as the normal ½ pint and 1 pint glasses.
Which makes it odd that the size of the wine measure isn't displayed.
I'm really curious to know what they added after "Prices include VAT" as they are most certainly starting the next sentence with "And"?
And £5 deposit for the glasses maybe?
I wouldn't buy any whatever the price though as I don't like nuts included in my beer glass.
FYI - I'm aware none of the drinks are sold in glasses now but I can't bring myself to describe beer as being in a plastic cup.
Imagine trying to carry a 2 pint plastic cup!
No it is not standard to price it like that. Why not just have a half pint and 1 pint? Why is 2 pints even listed if there is no saving?
Maybe we should do the same with Low and Kone.
1 player: £5,000,000
2 players: £10,000,000

But you might want to drink 2 pints. You're probably not going to casually buy another player.
Then just order 2 pints. It's clear what the price is for that based on how much it is for 1 pint.
You don't see Domino's Pizza advertising 1 pizza for £15, or two for £30.
Sorry mate you're right. Very unusual. Do they usually sell wine at grounds as well? That seems odd.
