Charlton number 4 today Alex Mitchell played his youth football for New Windsor Kestrels in the South Bucks League, mainly as a midfielder/striker as I remember. Trialled at Wycombe aged 16, rejected by Reading but picked up by Milwall. A really good lad as I remember and his Dad was a top coach…100% fair.
A healthy Dom Gape must be a cheat code for the National League. Eastleigh held high flying Barnet to a 1-1 draw with Gape MOTM. I can imagine how that game went!
At one point I thought he was nailed on as post-JJ captain and 300+ appearances. Injuries really did him dirty. He has basically lost the last four years of his career - his entire prime.
That’s a very sad thought. Here’s hoping he can stay injury-free long enough to keep his football career going - as you say, he should be a standout player at that level.
It's a pity he has not played enough games to be reliably healthy, as I think he is one GA would have at Shrewsbury in a heartbeat - from what I have read from their fans, midfield is a huge issue for them.

Now a third!
Dale Taylor scored for Wigan at home to Shrewsbury, 2-0.
Gape played most of the game today for Eastleigh, and has earned a compliment from at least one of their fans,
Cheeky bid from Shrewsbury incoming?
Scott Davies scored from inside his own half against Chesham Utd
Dom Gape played the whole game today and set up the injury time equalizer with a delightful ball.
Highlights | Yeovil Town 2-2 Eastleigh
Ben Strevens sacked by Dag & Red. Shame as seemed to be doing an ok job. 16th place in the table is hardly disastrous.
All relative...
I suppose it depends on what the clubs aspirations were for the season.
If the plan was promotion for example... then he's not doing very well at all.
If it was to not to get relegated.... then it seems a very harsh decision 😕
Anis Mehmeti scores against Portsmouth
And another
Kadeem Harris scores for Carlisle in an absolutely vital win for Mike Williamson’s side.
Eze gives Palace the lead vs Southampton
Aaron Pierre scores for the Shrews

so not quite an ex-player but super local.
I see that Al-Hamadi got a better google user player rating than any of his teammates against Arsenal and better than two of the Arsenal players.
Admiral Muskwe leaves Harrogate Town following the expiration of his one-month contract.
I really liked Muskwe, I wonder why his career hasn’t kicked on.
Unfortunately in this instance it’s been a persistent groin injury.
Bryn Morris has joined Harrogate Town for an undisclosed fee from Newport County
Luke O’Nien gives away a penalty in the Sunderland / Sheff Weds game, which ends up being saved by the keeper. Was for a shirt pull in the box.
Now he’s scored an own goal. Oh dear.
Paul Smyth at the darts giving it large after his MOTM performance earlier today
I thought it was him.

Good old Dom. I still remember that amazing goal at Chesterfield.
Dom was a real great player for us.

A half season to prove his fitness in the Conference leading to the first signing in the summer for Gareth Ainsworth’s League 2 Shrewsbury?
Have a look at the table, 3rd bottom now, just 5 points off 5th bottom..
The Gaz effect is underway.
