He was given a yellow card for his little dance and then the red card, suggesting he had already been booked or he got the red for something he said to the ref as he got the yellow for his dance.
Looking ahead to Sunday’’s visit to the Valley, I watched a bit of the recording of Charlton’s match yesterday against Cambridge United.
The goal scored within a minute of kickoff by Tyreece Campbell was farcical. He is seriously quick, no doubt about that, but Cambridge had pushed forward to a ridiculous extent, leaving one defender just in their half. It was a neck and neck 50 yard (?) race between him and Campbell. A few yards from goal the defender made a despairing lunge but Campbell somehow managed to stay on his feet and nutmeg the goalkeeper. The latter didn’t exactly cover himself in glory with the second Charlton goal either, failing to make contact with the ball from a corner in a crowded six yard box.
I was a bit concerned last week when Charlton won 5-0 at Sixfields but Northampton seem to be in free fall.
The Wrexham penalty decision is absolutely disgraceful. Really grown to dislike them. If we miss out, the only comfort I'll get is them scumbags not going up. Cheating f#cks
I don't have any beef with Wrexham - it helps that they're owned by Ryan Reynolds and I absolutely love Deadpool (and he and RM both seem like top blokes in general) - but we can't let them go up...
And it seems to have given a genuine boost to the whole area. It's hard to take too much issue with that, as suffocating as the media exposure can feel at times (but even that makes total sense).
This feels like the most Brighton game ever. Dominant stats per below, but 0-0. I feel like I have been saying "imagine what Brighton would be like with a #9" for years now.
Mind you, with their love for analytics, the below is probably exciting for them.
The commentators have mentioned us twice on the commentary of the Arsenal game, in the context that playing us was McKennas first game in charge of the tractor boys.
It is a turgid game, Ipswich are lacklustre & Arsenal seem to be trying to walk the ball into the net just like the Wenger years...
I might be getting old, but the premier league seems like it's the least exciting version it's been for a long time.
Every team constantly play it out from the back, every team chase like demons, everything is athleticism over innovation.
Every team has a stack of data so we're getting closer to robot football.
Maybe that's how it'll be in 2030 onwards - each club's scientists build a squad of robots they can program tactics in. Cheaper than current players too.
Yes - in five years it feels like every club will have a manager who just blurts out "the process", "non-negotiables", "outcomes" and "alignment" while red lights bleep on his forehead.
I hope so but doubt it tbh. We've done well in the last few games, we're definitely better with a fit Branthwaite at the back. For all the good it's still 9 points from our last 9 games.
The problem for us is when we have to attack a team or we're expected to win, that's when we usually look clueless, a bit like we did at the end of the game yesterday.
Big game on Sunday against Nottingham Forest, wouldn't be surprised to see another 0-0.

Huge win for Shrewsbury today. How lucky they are to have Gaz as manager

Not a single draw in the division yesterday. And Shrewsbury were the only team from 15th down (as of full time) who won.

Getting hit in the back with the ball is cheating now?

It's only "romantic" watching moneymen come in and bully their way up the leagues UNTIL it's your club they're competing with.
It's not ideal, but I'd rather it happen to a club who were genuinely down on their luck than a Birmingham.

Wrexham are part of the Netflix-isation of football. I can't stand them.
Agreed. Dislike the whole thing and never seen any of matey's films so not moved by that!
How many Wycombe fans would complain if we got a series? In fact, I think we almost did.
(Not) At Home With The Kazakhstanians?
Would binge

It would help if that Enciso fella could actually find the back of the net.
Arsenal have had 91% possession in the first half of the first half so far against Ipswich.

To be fair to Arsenal they have upped the tempo a tad in the last 10 minutes, but to little effect, Ipswich have really offered nothing going forward.
tl;dr
Wingers
Wingers on their correct foot. 2 Strikers.
Defenders who could can head it and defend.
Centre mids who could do a bit of everything.
Ipswich have just bought AAH on for the last 10

Just saw him trying to mark Gabriel at a corner.
How on earth is that a sensible marking job?
Yup, oh for the likes of a Stan Bowles, Alan Hudson or Frank Worthington in the modern game.
*emits old man sigh*
Carroll, Guppy, 2 up and down mids.
Target man, nippy striker.
2 colossal centre backs, full backs who can defend.
Early to mid 90s every time.
