City have been terrible for a couple of months at the end of a cycle that gave them 4 Prem titles in a row and a champions league quadruple amongst other things.
And Utd have probably spent just as much for sod all recently. The players can't all be useless but the Ajax types seem to be an awful fit and there's so little structure or culture in place to cling on to. The new manager insisting these players fit his high pressing system is just a bit silly. January is upon us but everyone knows they need players and have money so prices will rise, their wasters won't be wanted and good players won't want to join.
As someone who went to clean up the away end after a Utd cup final win against my boyhood club I have zero sympathy but it's a big mess.
United running themselves into the ground from a position of dominance with one terrible move after another makes me think of a quote I first heard attributed to the Cleveland Browns over here.
"All potential sporting decisions exist in a vacuum of neutrality. Then United make a decision and it is instantly the incorrect one."
Sir Jim Brexit the great patriot who lives in Monaco paying a huge amount NOT to get the club from the Glazers, then keeping an unpopular manager, kicking out Sir Arex, sacking all the cleaners, sacking the unpopular manager, getting in another management team, cutting the money to the charitable funds, putting prices up and then still having to bleed even more money into an aging stadium and an expensive underperforming squad is quite funny though.
Strange thing is that I actually went to Bordeaux v Cherbourg many years ago with my girlfriend, (who later became my wife). You would think then I would have remembered. Didn't Andy Carrol end up playing there or is that something else I have wrong? 🙄🤷♂️
He's still there. I went a few weeks ago, very odd experience, quite a lot of fans really by our standards but barely making a dent on the old world class stadium. Difficult to know quite how far down the leagues they actually are or how difficult it may be for them to return as the regional set up is odd and their owner won't sling his hook despite bankrupting them. Should really sell wine there but I don't think they did.
What is it with the BBC obsession with Wrexham, have a look at the BBC league 1 site , 3 articles on top of their match report. The other 23 teams have two articles seperate from match reports. Really hope they don’t go up will never hear the last of it.
Wayne Rooney leaves Wayne Rooney’s Plymouth Argyle
The ex-Manchester United forward departs after just seven months in charge of the Championship club.
The departing Rooney said: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Board of Plymouth Argyle Football Club, in particular Simon Hallett and Neil Dewsnip who I shared great relationships with.
“Thanks also to all the staff who made me feel welcome and who make the club such a special place, the players and fans for their efforts and support during my time as Head Coach and I wish them all the best for the future.
“To the Green Army thanks for making the games at Home Park so special, they are memories that we will share forever.
“I would also like to give a special mention to my coaching staff Kevin Nancekivell, Simon Ireland, Darryl Flahavan and Mike Phelan for their knowledge, dedication, help and support.
“Plymouth Argyle will always hold a special place in my heart, and I will continue to look out for and take interest in their results.”
You could level the same criticism at any media outlet. At the end of the day, Wrexham will get just about the biggest search volume at that level - and probably bigger than a number of PL clubs, given the huge interest from America - hence the amount of coverage. That's how the industry works these days, unfortunately.
At least Plymouth Argyle is less of a mouthful than saying Wayne Rooney's Plymouth Argyle for all the media pundits etc. Should save quite a bit of printing ink as well.

As a Tour de France fan it's interesting seeing 'incremental losses' in action.
Who will they persuade to buy their players though?
Sometimes I’m tempted to feel sorry for Man United and then I remember growing up in the 90s.
'three centre-backs who've got no legs'
Gary Neville in fine form here
Rarely do you see a team so inept at defending crossed. This is abysmal.
Sometimes I’m tempted to feel sorry for Man United and then I remember it's Man United
"You are watching the worst pound-for-pound football team in the country"
City must be running them pretty close, no?
And Amad. Ok, they could end up with a solid 5-a-side team.

Went to the Man U forum for a hatewank and it's rubbish compared to this place.
I honestly think we could win best football forum if anyone could be bothered to organise the competition

Head down, ignore the noise, come up with something better , quietly turn it around. Let the haters catch up.
...or just sack the manager, spend another couple of hundred million on crap players and go round and round.
It's déjà vu all over again Yogi Berra
Clever guy, knows a lot about picnic baskets too
Wimbledon go second in L2 with a win over Gillingham. But they’re closer points wise to Newport in 18th than Walsall in first!
Wow! No wonder Sadler is a trendy name along with Blooms.
And 2nd to 6th are all on 37 points, bloody hell

The 'Man United could get relegated' article mentions that they could play Wrexham next year.

hopefully rocks up at the franchise one day
Wonder when they’ll announce the statue.

It's funny that since Rooney got the boot, everyone I know who supports a Championship or League One team is worried that they'll get him next.
His managerial career has to be over now

Hopefully it'll end the obsession the gasroom seems to have with him.
