Just some random set of roadworks between Chapel Lane and the Pedestal Roundabout with 3 way lights controlling traffic as it was/is right by the entrance to one of those small roads on LHS as you exit town.
The queue of traffic was stretching back up the A4010 towards Aylesbury way past the Pedestal Roundabout.
Steady. I try to get the best value out of my season ticket and my leave! Home Tuesdays are difficult but not impossible. Good time weekends is not how we can describe some of our home matches this season.
Just boo anyone who does or doesn't take the knee, wears coloured laces or doesn't, or does or doesn't stand quite tall enough, or hug enough players (or hugs too many) in minute silences. Just to cover yourself.
Are the roadworks on New Road near Squirrel Lane/Rutland Avenue still in place? Would be good to know if I have to give that area a swerve before traveling up.
I parked in the Meole Brace bowls club carpark a couple of years ago. Short walk, buttons cost, very safe parking, which being a midweeker felt essential.

I'm trying to see if it's possible to buy parking for Saturday in the upper car park, but I can't find a link on the club website that works.
Does anyone know, @CarParkPete, if it's still possible to buy a ticket for a one off game? Maybe I just have to wait until after tomorrows game, but as the outcome will affect how many extra people I bring to the game on Saturday I'd like to know today?
How long did it take others to get away, by car, after the game yesterday? And which route did you take?
With the game finishing at 14:40ish it took us a good hour to get from Jenkins Street onto the A45 at Poets Corner. A distance of less than 1 mile. Horrendous. We were passed at least three times by cars driving on the wrong side of the carriageway into oncoming, albeit barely moving, vehicles jumping the queues.
Made getting out of Hillbottom Road looks positively easy.
Bloody awful. I parked in Asda which was a good 15 minutes walk away, on which I felt quite smug passing all the gridlocked traffic, and horn honking, thinking I'm going to zoom away when i get back to the car. It took me 20 minutes just to get out of the sodding car park. But based on the previous posts, maybe I was quite lucky??

Not strictly relevant, as there is no football, but Handy Cross Roundabout is closed this weekend - until 6am on Monday.
Overnight closures for the rest of the week as well, according to reports on the BBC.

It took an hour to get out of Morrisons then another 30 minutes battling down roads of endless back street car parks until we were on our way.
