I didn’t get out of the car park until 5.30. Just sat in car chatting to the guy in the next car who used to be on the same table in the Woodland. I used to park in Roofline car park. Usually on the move by 5.10. Those were the days!

Big weekend for parking and queues with Charlton fans notoriously ones to drive to games alone.
Updates on here please
Especially with no trains between Marylebone and Wycombe. A Charlton mate is setting off from South London after breakfast (about 9am, I think), getting a train to Amersham and a bus to Wycombe, aiming to have bit of lunch at the Falcon and meeting me at the station (where I pick up old Ron) at 1.30. It might work out!
The little park n did minibus didn't look particularly well filled, on either one I saw pass me.
Dark windows so not that easy to see in, but I wonder how the club are judging that is going, especially as it's a pay job now.
There are already queues at the temporary traffic lights outside Greggs in New Road, where there are some roadworks. I would suggest, if you were thinking of coming that way, that you use an alternative route.
Options for the Ipswich game? I'm assuming parking will be a nightmare - so are there any shuttles running? where do they go from and what times? Thanks!
Luckily we don't have a football match today but for anyone thinking of travelling from Beaconsfield to Wycombe on the A40 - DON'T.
There is a queue from Holtspur Top down to Loudwater - lots of traffic coming off the M40 which is almost at a standstill. Then it gets really bad again from the retail park at Wycombe Marsh until through the roadworks outside Lidl at the bottom of Hatters Lane.

No traffic lights / road works on the London Rd today. However, M40 between M25 & Handy Cross is reportedly slow (due to closure of the M4 this weekend). So I'd anticipate A404 Marlow bypass being busy also.
"New Road, Booker, High Wycombe, Monday 6 to Friday 10 December, 7pm to 6am (except Tuesday 7 December). Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed between Mill End Road and Booker Hill Road on these nights. Evening route 32 and 32A buses will divert via Desborough Park Road, Copyground Lane, Rutland Avenue and then turn right at New Road to serve the stops on Booker Hill Road. Stops between Booker Hill Road and 'The Half Moon PH' stops on Dashwood Avenue will not be served."
The buckscc website now says something different: "New Road, Booker, High Wycombe, Monday 13 to Friday 17 December, 7pm to 6am. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed between Mill End Road and Booker Hill Road on these nights."
I have just driven through Sands and there are no roadworks in evidence, or even any advance warning notices. As I said in my previous message, the BucksCC website now has these roadworks as starting next week.

Parke in Sands 1330. strolled up to ground for a pint before game. Long queue at bar.
Same as it has been for last 30 years. Fine
No @LX1. According to some there was a golden time, free of queues, about 3 years ago.
I don’t remember it either.
I've definitely never queued for 50 minutes before.

Avoid the A40 if you value your sanity today.
Guessing this is still running for evening games. Not 100% though.

In fact, it is. This link was posted on Twitter earlier:

Seems like the ideal night to try the park an ride if we are going to be over-run with Tractor folks.
Did anyone try this?
Wondering how a dark potentially muddy field fared!
Presumably they have lighting etc?
I didn't in the end. The cold and my own.laziness led me to brave the industrial wastes of Hill bottom road.
Very slow on the London road near the rye heading into town
A bit late, but that's because there are road works and traffic lights ...

Has anyone got any details on the roadworks in Sands tomorrow night?
Sounds like this thread should be all over it
If nothing gets sorted it could be absolute carnage
Oh dear. Looks like it's a train or ifollow extra tenner decision for me then. I still have nightmares about Leicester queues!
I've also heard tell of a storm on the way!
Don’t listen to that Michael Fish @Wendoverman.
It looks like New Road will not be closed on Tuesday, according to this. Hopefully the club will confirm.

Club has just issued this.

Perhaps they can contact Transport for Bucks, or whoever is responsible, and establish whether the road will be open or closed after the game.
This is the club message:

Hopefully one of them will have it right before I leap into the Wendovermobile or it's Ifollow for me I fear. Do I not like surprises.
