I think the obvious outcome will be that Morley is recalled. Bolton will then put him on the transfer list and it will be a free for all to sign him. Other clubs will have noticed his performances for us and I can imagine there will be strong interest and higher bids to sign him. Birmingham?
I believe we’ll still secure promotion, whether or not Morley is part of the equation.
Bakinson and Butch both demonstrated more than enough quality alongside Scowen and Leahy.
Bakinson showed his ability to manage the pivot role effectively against Villa, and it’s easy to overlook just how good Butch is at this level. Let’s not forget how instrumental he was in turning around our form last season. On today's game that Cesay can fo a job...
Morley has a big say in this regardless. He’s a northern lad. He might feel better at home at Bolton and would be happy being a success there. So best outcome for him might be he returns home, rips it up in the Bolton first team and looks back fondly on his time here. Just because we love the Chairtropolis doesn’t mean he does. He joined Bolton with a vision of how he wanted his career to go and he still might want that.
Either way come January the 1st unless we can add the domain bwfc.co.uk to our spam filters there is gonna be an email asking for return of a player.

He’s obviously done really well for you and personally I think from what I’ve seen you’re the real deal this year and if you can keep everybody together in January and don’t get any serious long term injuries I think you’ll walk the automatics. There are no outstanding teams this year, including Birmingham other than yourselves so good luck to you.
As for us we’re bobbins this year, Evatt’s squeezed all the individuality out of our better players forced to fit in with his dire slowly slowly crap and when things go against us the players have no fight just throw the towel in as they did against Huddersfield and Stockport and even a 10 man Cambridge last Tuesday. Unfortunately we’re still around the play offs so as long as that’s the case Evatt’s safe sadly.
Theres no way Morley comes back here and plays because he just doesn’t suit Evatt’s style and hasn’t done for eighteen months which is why he was loaned out so it’s pretty much certain that either you buy him or someone else does. I think talks of £500k are way too high and probably £250-£300k seems more likely which to me would be a great piece of business for you. An initial fee may even be lower than that with add ons if you do get promoted but either way I expect him to be a Wycombe player permanently in January.
So good luck for the rest of the season and hopefully we’ll squeeze into the play offs again then take our chances there and who knows there might be a pair of Wanderers in the Championship next season? 😁
I think that Wing took the best option at the time. He has a family to support and like the majority of people that comes first. A one year extension at Wycombe where the purse strings are being tightened or 3 years on a better wage elsewhere. I not what I would do. Also, I don’t know how the players are limited to £1,500 a week as you wouldn’t sign a contract saying £3,000 a week however we’ll reduce to £1,500 if we can’t control the clubs finances. No chance he went there for that although he may have thought he was going to QPR before Ainsworth found out he'd have no money and left himself with few choices. Think he sneaked in before it became clear how messed up they really were so maybe wasn't signed under all the more recent rules.
Agree with @PJS btw, Wing banging in free kicks and long shots was amazing when he was on a purple patch but he didn't contribute to the team play like Morely now does. No probs at all if he's on fire but I'd suggest that he wouldn't be at Reading still if he did that consistently .
Morley is absolutely integral to the way Wycombe play. It was the introduction of him and Humphries against Rotherham which turned the season. Morley dictates the tempo of the game. His weight of pass is phenomenal. Wycombe need to pull out all the stops to sign him as you're not going to get someone who can do what he does to the same level. First name on the team sheet for me he's that good.
I agree having read the post from @FarmerCee which outlines the way Morley has been treated by Evatt. I really can’t see Morley wanting to go back if that is the case.

On todays showing those two are certainly not a long term solution if we lose Morley.
We're not a one man team by any means, so if the worst happens and we do lose him, I'm sure Bloomy will find a good solution.
