Harvie. Tested much more defensively last night but also supported the attack at every opportunity. He is some athlete. Humphreys a close second, his ability to get out of situations where he is being pressed by two or more players is impressive.
Really great post. I have to compliment both Kone and the conditioning team for how well he has developed physically over the summer too. He just seems an absolute nightmare for any defender to deal with, as he is hard to knock off the ball, can play with his back to goal or running at the back line, can play wide too, and is just as lethal for assists as for goals.
It sums things up that Mansfield's excellent, towering defender looked like he had gone twelve rounds - that's what it takes to even keep Rich a tiny bit quiet!
At the start of the season I had him pegged as the player who would thrive on through balls to feet. We seem to have coached a whole different player into him. What sets apart players like him (and Anis before him) is that they can be coached and they learn clearly. Flint is a very good and experienced centre half and I am not sure he could have done any more to contain him, yet at times Kone just slipped like he was a statue. His ability to play across the defence also makes him an absolute nightmare. Sadly it is a question of enjoy him whilst you can, on this trajectory he won't be around long.
