  • I thought they all spoke very well. Blooms and Captain Jack both giving a useful insight into the set-up of the playing side of the club, I thought, giving GA credit and wanting to build on his work and improve some factors rather than being new brooms to sweep away his legacy entirely. Very intelligent approach. We are lucky to have such people at the club and long may it continue. The first portion of this season has been as exciting as we've seen for a long time.

  • Did anyone ask about the Mitchell issue?

  • yes. Data.

  • Blooms looked very very comfortable last night. It’s one thing being top of the league, but the fans imagined a backdrop of uncertainty because of the data-driven approach - is Blooms highly regarded internally? I thought the social dynamic between Blooms and Rice was very positive. Can imagine they get on quite well behind closed doors. Worth remembering that they’ve only known each other for less than a year (to our knowledge).

  • Blooms is a data guy at heart, isn't he. Was quoting xG in his early pressers (not necessarily that helpful but shows the lens through which he views the game).

  • xG is mentioned quite a lot by struggling managers. It’s a straw to clutch at for anyone who’s not getting the result that actually matters. I can’t recall him talking about it much recently.

Like the one Kazakhstan lad who visited Adams Park I'll have to make a pilgrimage to Alkmaar sometime in the future to wave a Wycombe flag to the total bemusement of the locals.

I'll explain to them in my best Steve McClaren that I'm from a small town outside a capital city that has been inspired by them in terms of player recruitment and have a dream that my team will one day get thumped home and away in the Europa Conference League by Aston Villa just like them.

We both have shit museums, Theirs is cheese and ours is chairs, And cheese and chairs form the basis of our fans nicknames. Our mascots could have been swapped at birth, We were meant to be.

  • The Cheeseboys?

  • ❤️❤️❤️

  • That's just Bodger with a hair transplant

It might be cheese on his head.

As they as The Cheese Farmers.

  • I just watched the forum meeting. I felt it was a positive forum and all questions were handled and answered very well by all on the panel.. and equally by Sam Grace who made a cameo.

One thing I have noticed however in this "interview" and in previous media segments.. .

And this may just be me that's noticed this or just me it sort of irritates.

Both Graham and Dan talk in the exact same way ... with a strange upwards inflection at the end of each sentence... kind of like Australians do 🤷‍♂️

I find it really irritating for some reason lol

I feel like it makes them sound a bit false and overly optimistic with what they say as it just dosnt sound like a normal Brit woukd speak. It feels like trained and forced enthusiasm. I find it even more strange that they both do it. If it was just one or the other I'd pass it off as that's just how they speak... but both? Maybe it's trained media talk to sound positive and authorative ?

Am I being weird or has any else picked up on this too--?

Hes been to Turkey the lad!!!

Look at his mouth! Clearly had all teeth removed for imminent implant surgery!

Bet the sods had some lipo and a Brazilian bum lift too.....

This is not where I thought Mikhails billions would be being spent. Utter disgrace . .

    Some might say....

    CHILLING

  • I don't really understand the evolution of Bodger, feels like it missed a few steps

  • Bodger is one of the worst mascots ever. Complete lack of imagination. Generic fairground character head wearing a Wanderers shirt.

  • A chair with eyes would be more inspiring at this point.

  • Why did we get rid of the swan? I can't remember the name of it tho.....

Cyril was sold to Swansea has subsequently married Cybil.

  • How much did they pay for his cygneture?

  • He signed it with his bic

  • It was ' Bluey' wasn't it ? The Swan that is. Always looked a bit top heavy to me, and ready to fall over at any point.

  • Could we take after the Portland Timbers? Whose mascot is... a bloke with a chainsaw

  • Everton's Mr Testicles will always be number one.

  • Boiler Man a close second

  • It’s called high rising terminal.

It’s confusing for people who learn languages like French where inflection changes meaning. It also implies a yes/no type question which again is confusing if the question is actually open ended.

I first noticed people over here using it when Friends started to become popular along with using ‘I was like’ instead of using a suitable verb.

My brain sets off all manner of alarms when I hear both, but I’ve learnt to let it go and even hear myself saying the latter sometimes.

It was either Kant or Wittgenstein who said the meaning of language is dictated by its use, so I suppose these kind of homogeneous changes are inevitable as we all share the same media these days.

  • Wow, there's so much knowledge in the collective gasroom. Brilliant. I had never heard that phrase previously and have just spent 10 mins reading up about it.
