    Gillingham - 37 miles

    Bromley - 58 miles

    Charlton - 60 miles

    Brighton/Crystal Palace - 63 miles

    West Ham - 64 miles

    Crawley Town - 65 miles

    Sutton - 67 miles

    AFC Wimbledon/Arsenal/Spurs - 68 miles

    Chelsea - 69 miles

    QPR - 71 miles

    Brentford - 73 miles

    Watford - 82 miles

    WWFC - 97 miles

  • Watford 11 miles

  • Wycombe 1.9 miles.

  • Estadio Nemesio Diez is about 1km away when I am stopping with my Mexican massive.

  • Birmingham City 5.9 miles

    Aston Villa 9.0 miles

    Walsall 17.4 miles

    Coventry City 19.6 miles

  • Bristol Rovers 29 miles

    Bristol City 27 miles

  • This is the latest position as of this morning. I will leave this open until Wednesday week , 20 November.

To qualify, a poster on the gasroom has to claim the distance for themselves - no relatives or friends allowed. They can be new posters however so if Perfidious Albion can persuade his daughter to register and post the name of the ground in his daughters back garden, we will surely save some mileage.

I am becoming increasingly convinced that the key to WWFC achieving promotion this year will be getting the total for all 92 clubs below 1000. So if you know a chairboy lurking in Newcastle, give them a shout and ask them to post. P:romotion is in our hands.

Currently we have sign ups for 54 clubs and 602 miles.

There are some easy wins - a East Londoner close to Millwall can also do West Ham, Bromley and perhaps Colchester and reduce Gillingham

@Ned_Ludd could perhaps take out Wolves and Wba

A Mancunian could take out Accrington and Blackburn

It feels like we should be able to reduce Stevenage and Northampton from current high 20s

But we are going to have to be creative to take out Yorkshire, the North East and some of the more far flung clubs if our promotion dream is not to fail at our own hands.

    8 days to go.

  • I can do Exeter 35 but rather hoping someone can reduce

  • I can provide 24 to Blackburn and 25 to Accrington but I reckon someone is nearer still

  • Watford - 12 miles

    luton - 13 miles

    adams park - 19 miles

    Stevenage -27 miles

  • Watford 10.9 miles but we must have fans here who live in Watford surely?

  • I'd forgotten the Black Country...

    West Bromwich Albion 10.1 miles

    Wolverhampton Wanderers 20.3 miles

    Also...

    Shrewsbury Town 52.4 miles

    Stoke City 50.9 miles

    Port Vale 56.0 miles

  • Closest clubs to me are:-

League 2:- Cheltenham Town 15.7 miles

League 1:- Birmingham City 31.8 miles

Championship:- West Brom 39.3 miles (Coventry 39.8 miles)

Premier League:- Aston Villa 45.6 miles

It’s a bit of a stretch at this point but I can do:

    Crewe 35 miles

    Blackpool 41 miles

    Port Vale 42 miles

    Stoke 45 miles

    Fleetwood 46 miles

    Wrexham 47 miles

    Morecambe 50 miles

    Barrow 89 miles

    Carlisle 110 miles

  • Reading 23 miles

    Swindon Town 27 miles

    Oxford United 30 miles

    Southampton 38 miles

    Wycombe Wanderers 47 miles

  • I can do Bromley at 11.3 miles but presumably can be beaten

  • Long-time lurker, occasional poll answerer, first time poster on this version of the Gasroom – I was a very infrequent poster on the old version.

Anyway, my domicile appears to be adrift from EFL clubs, but I'll put forward some values for a few current blanks.

    Portsmouth: 36 miles

    Southampton: 40 miles

    Brighton: 47 miles

    Bournemouth: 65 miles

  • Bish, your numbers have to be wrong. BCFC and AVFC are only 2-3 miles apart.

  • Only 3 within 20 miles...

    Barnsley 17 miles

    Doncaster Rovers 19 Miles

    Leeds United 19 miles

  • Not looking good if we are relying on any of these:

Leeds United: 29 miles (there is at least 1 Gasroomer from near Leeds so they should help…)

    Hull City: 33 miles

    Bradford City: 36 miles

    Harrogate Town: 39 miles

    Grimsby Town: 42 miles

And in real trouble if we need:

    Middlesbrough: 75 miles

    Sunderland: 101 miles

    Newcastle United: 105 miles

  • Wolves 5miles

    Walsall 6 miles

    West Brom 11 miles

    Shrewsbury 30 miles

    Stoke 31 miles

    Port Vale 34 miles

Hopefully someone came beat these but I can do

    Port Vale 30 miles

    Crewe 31 miles

    Sheff Wed 32 miles

    Sheff Utd 33 miles

    Chesterfield 35 miles

    Rotherham 40 miles

Glad someone was xloser to Bromley than I am...

Surely someone is closer to West Ham than me, certainly all those who are close to the West London clubs are closer than me

  • Thanks for this @DevC - it is a great idea. I can't believe that someone won't beat these so maybe don't put them in yet -

    Colchester 49 miles

    Ipswich 55 miles

I guess Lincoln will have quite low niumbers for anyone in the Nottingham area, or indeed Mansfield or Doncaster; if we don't have anyone from those more northery low lands.

  • Wycombe 7 miles

    Poxford 12 miles

    Reading bed wetters 19 miles

    MK Dongs 23 miles

  • Latest standing late afternoon on Tuesday, now sorted into broad (and not always strictly accurate) geographical areas.

Just eight teams left unbid but still some big numbers that ideally we need to push down. All lower offers gratefully received.

Great to see some rare or even first time posters on the gas room. Welcome!!

If we are to get the total below 1000 (and thereby secure promotion for the club), we will I suspect need to find a bidder in the far north, on the South coast and in the Bristol/South Wales area as well as chipping away at other scores.

    Eight days to go....

  • You can pop me down for:

    Burnley - 27 miles

    Huddersfield - 29 miles

    Bradford - 37 miles

I'm sure there will be closer people though!

  • I can help a bit.

    Plymouth Argyle 1.0

    That's it though!

  • I can reduce Brighton a bit - 34.5 miles from me
