Blooms laughing in Evans face at full time. Glorious. Have it. He got the subs absolutely spot on today. Deserves so much credit for those signings and bringing them in so early into the second half. Great timing. Kodua alleviated pressure too. All round excellent recovery management.
Side note: I don't think I have ever enjoyed a disallowed goal so much. The two chaps preening with the oblivious fans while the camera had a close up on them. Sublime!
How must Bakinson feel when the two loanees( who play similar roles) come on before him.? They were excellent. With more injuries, we still need more reinforcements.
Not seen game changing subs like that in a while. I moaned throughout the first half that we seemed to be clueless at moving it forward. The subs effortlessly turned and drove every time.
McCarthy has still not found his touch or crossing boots though, has he?
I thought the same (especially from the replays) but we’ve been on the other end of similar situations ourselves in the past so I’m not complaining. Why would I be ?!! And I’ve not forgotten Daryl Horgan being controversially ruled offside against Rotherham when he scored the goal from Mehmeti’s quick thinking pass that should have earned us a vital point.
Their fans on the way up were saying they were appalling first game and had graduated to being just quite bad, they'll feel hard done by, could have been 3 up on another day.
That's such a huge result and a really important win. It eases any pressure that was building and gives Matt Bloomfield more time.
Delighted with the impact of the new signings and we're really going to need them with our ever-increasing injury list.
It really depends how many of those players are recovering from knocks and short-term and how many are long-term injuries.
I have a feeling we're really going to have to dig in during September and dig results out whilst those players return to fitness.
We might need two of three more quality additions this week, especially defensively, if we're going to be competitive until the window opens again in January 2025.
I really don’t think he had a choice as we were getting overrun in midfield. What a difference though and Humphries is a magician. Morley and Humphries with Scowen and we are all set in midfield.
I also thought Harvie had his best game so far in a Wycombe shirt and Sadlier caused havoc.
Just Nigel Lonwijk now and we will be a real good unit.
I thought Kone struggled today and we seem to be asking too much of the lad and maybe a stint on the bench may help him.
Notable mention to Joe Low who was a rock today. Proper centre half performance. Headed and kicked everything and showed composure on the ball when necessary.

Bloomfield for England
Bluemsball
Absolutely nailed on penalty. It should never have been a penalty, you don’t usually see such incredibly badly timed tackles like that!
Game changing subs. Humphreys was superb.
Humphreys and Morley look like two title winning players!
Put that in your pipe and smoke it, Steve Evans.

So happy for Blooms!
Never seen a man happier in the pissing bucks rain.

it was fabulous, wasn't it? Give the odious arse what he deserves.
We looked so much better after those subs
All about taking your chances this game
The two loanees don’t play similar roles though do they?
Comes down to Passing, blocking, shooting, you either do or don't, it's a very simple game at times.
Pen was right in front of us. Defender got a clear touch before making contact with Sadlier in my view. Risky angle to make that tackle from though.
Looked soft to me from behind the goal
We’re going to win the league aren’t we?

Points on the board at last and hopefully a proper kick-start to the season.
You wonder how long Evans’ second spell in charge of Rotherham will last if the fans are already slagging him off…

That was v Derby - and I’ve not forgotten it either!
Apologies. Senility.

Jesus. I clicked the link and was presented with this:
