If our schedule is reflected across the league, wondering if they’ve possibly tried to bake in international weekends vs Tuesday games a bit.
Did think it was a bit odd all three scheduled midweek games before Christmas are away, but had a quick look and think all international weekends also look to be when we are due to be at home.
Looks like only one international weekend in second half of season and that’s when we are away (at Huddersfield). Still looks like 3 Tuesday night games though (all home).
@PJS Yes completely agree, it was very irresponsible comments after the incident and is likely to incite the crowd. Hoping he'll be sensible enough to play it down ahead of the match.
I never thought the incident was that bad anyway, just an unfortunate injury for Mullin. Hardly in the Shumacher / Battiston 82 category !
But not out of the question. The main man Gareth was "rested" and had a "niggle" for the 2 games in that season we played Sheffield United, who he had that incident with Dane Whitehouse yonks before.
It seems unlikely he just happened to miss those 2 fixtures, and chances are the club made a sensible decision to swerve what could have been a toxic environment.
Maybe one to file under "conspiracies" alongside Sean Devine's injury, the Morias contract renewal then release days later and maybe a few others.
I can't decide if it is a good opening (catch these teams cold) or bad. On balance, I think the Wrexham game is awkward owing to how insane the atmosphere will be for their return to L1, but the Birmingham and Rotherham games may be good to get out of the way and perhaps sneak a result.
I just hope we can pick up some points from those three!
Parkinson’s never recovered from stumbling over and failing to stop an easy goal in our 5-2 drubbing of the Royals at Adams Park.
I’ve got a terrible memory for old matches but the site of him losing his footing, ball sailing just over his head and into the net, is as clear as day.
Not announced yet. The EFL have just 13 hours to go in order to meet their “landmark commitment” of announcing all tv games up until the end of September within seven days of the fixtures being announced.

You're thinking of Leyton Orient away, that was Xmas time. Charlton was fairly early, maybe September

Apparently Phil Parkinson has told Nathan Bishop to "stay away from Wrexham" - https://www.theguardian.com/football/2023/jul/26/wrexham-angered-by-mullin-injury-inflicted-by-manchester-uniteds-bishop
Of course. I watched that episode! Bit silly to be honest.
Bishop must start.
Irresponsible behaviour by a senior official of a club if true and should have been addressed at the time
Why on earth would you not play your No.1 keeper?
Some D-list Hollywood actor telling us what we can and can't do. We've got Kazakhstan's premium integrated banking app behind us and are unstoppable.
Sounds great in theory. Hope it pans out as easy!

It's big news over here, because we are massive, clearly.
Wrexham host Wycombe in first League One match of season - ESPN
It does seem unlikely.

9 points nailed on
If we start the season like last season it'll be pure misery on here.
Bar the usuals who pops up weeks later when we've had a resurgence claiming they never had any doubts.
But if we start well....the belief will be huge!
I spoke to Gareth after the home game v Sheffield United and mentioned this. ‘Bit of a tight back’ he said, with a pretty big grin.
Wrexham started their L2 campaign last seasnon at home to MK Dons, and lost 3-5.
I'm sure we can achieve a similar result.
Concede 3? Surely not
Yep. Always seemed pretty obviously swerved.
Do wonder what would have happened if he'd managed in the championship when Sheff Utd were there. But luckily he swerved it both with us and QPR
Well at least we can’t start quite as badly as we did last season… Can we?
But a really tough looking August
Phil Parkinson comes across as a really nasty character on the tv show, so I wouldn’t be surprised if the above rumours are true.
Still being upset because of an injury in a pre season game from a couple of years ago is pretty childish.

Has anyone seen any news on TV fixtures until Xmas yet?
still debating on whether to buy season tickets and wanted this information before making a final decision.

I thought they were going to announce everything until end of January within seven days or perhaps was that before the season started.
Its shit for bums on seats but potentially good for not missing games
Within seven days - until end of September.
before season starts - until end of January.
Seems to be 2 away
Blackpool 31 August 12.30
Northampton 14 September 12.30
