Well done Oxford. I don't think they were for a moment the third best team in the league this year, but that's the play-offs for you - and they took their chance.
Although as another Wanderer living with an OX postcode, I can't imagine this week is going to be much fun...
Disappointing, but given how well the L2 playoffs have gone so far, with Franchise completely shitting the bed and cementing their claim to being the most inept playoff side of all time, I suppose I can take the PNLs getting promoted.
They’re marginally less obnoxious than Peterborough too, so at least Swann FC didn’t get the benefit of two Wembley wins.
Gonna miss Oxford for the local away game and the fact we tend to have a good record against them. Have to give them credit though - they looked far more like an Ainsworth team then they'd care to admit during this playoff run and are clearly a lot more street-smart then under Robinson before. I also think they've taken advantage of a weaker League One this year in - let's be honest - a way that we didn't.
They should have won more comfortably. Much of their shooting was very wayward but they totally dominated and look capable of finishing in mid table in League One. Love their style and they show remarkable skill on the ball considering so many of their players were recruited from non-league.
Well, Crawley did it in style but not without a couple of self-inflicted anxious moments, including one instance of overconfident carelessness on the part of Adam Campbell which resulted in him being substituted. Good positive management.
If Crawley’s shooting hadn’t been so wayward the match would have been sewn up a helluva lot earlier.
33,341 at Wembley today. The last split I saw was about 17,000 for Crawley, 12,000 for Crewe. That's a good turnout by Crawley, with an average attendance of 3,600. Crewe average about 5,200.

Bear in mind Oxford would have to stay up and/or beat 43 points to outdo us.
Yes

I wanted Crawley to win today but the thought of an entire season of that bloke on Facebook calling them the ‘creepies’ or ‘creepy Crawley’… urgh.

I’m blissfully unaware of the bloke on Facebook.

Come on West Ham 🙏
Why on earth is Chelsea against Bournemouth one of the live games on Sky?
Don’t they have to win to qualify for the European Conference or somesuch?
Yawn
Yeah, it's about the only thing on the line apart from the title

If they can hold out and not let City score early, then maybe the atmosphere will get nervous.
Oh ...
For that goal I guess
City winning umpteen games on the bounce again to take the title is now predictable and boring in equal measure.
Arsenal losing
They've turned the Premier League into F1
Liverpool vs 10-man Wolves looks a good bet for the traditional final day drubbing. Eminently more entertaining than this foregone conclusion.
WHAT A HIT
Lonwijk style goal from West Ham.
And I know what I’d rather watch. Worth it for Foden alone. Wonder if Southgate will play him more centrally next month.
He’ll stick him at centre back
Saka, Bellingham and Palmer as well as Foden -hardto see how to fit them all in
Rice-Bellingham-Foden, then Rashford-Kane-Saka if he plays a true front 3
Not saying Rashford *should* be in there, but you can see the logic - just get him constantly running in behind knowing Kane will find him eventually
Or shift Foden left, have Bellingham in the 10 (where he really should be), and Rice with Mainoo behind - but GS won't be brave enough to start Mainoo
Get Adam Wharton in there, the guy is magic
Innocent until proven guilty and all that, but it is rather grating that no one on Sky brings up the asterisk over City's dominance
