I think you definitely see the ultra positive in everything he does. For me he's a promising guy with a talent for finishing and sniffing in the box, but with a lot to learn elsewhere.
Yep, like Bayo mentioned in JJ's presentation do that JJ gave him the ball for a late pen, to allow him the chance of getting a championship level goal.
Jack Grimmer on the commentary today gave the impression he'd be around next season and might even be promoted to club captain, which I'd love to see. Garath McCleary has played himself into a new contract if he wants one, and it'll be good to have those two as the senior players around (David Wheeler too, but I wonder if he'll want to move closer to home if he's not playing most weeks).
I don't think I'll ever be convinced by McCarthy - he's got so much drive and commitment but it was rare that his final ball went anywhere other than out or to an opponent. I also think Kodua might have been better served being loaned to a League Two or National League team at this stage of his development. But it was good to see the strength in depth of our squad at this stage in the season, as Matt assesses who to offer new contracts to in a few weeks time.
The last 4 games, post Wembley, have been played in 2nd/3rd gear due to the schedule & the need to rotate to protect players, yet we now have enough about us to get a great return of 10/12pts; we really have stepped up with the quality of Jan signings and blending them into a cohesive whole alongside the pragmatic return to a back 4.
Finishing and sniffing in the box is enough for now, he will develop the other elements of the game with more game time. He is a really fine prospect and his confidence is growing each game he plays.
Will be very interesting how we go about recruitment, especially in the attacking positions. Sadlier and McCleary are good starters, Kone is a prospect and Lubala has some good attributes too, but it probably feels we need the sort of Vokes 2 years ago style player on top. Comes at a high cost I dare say.
We need a specialist left back and to sort the goalkeeping position, but the rest looks in good shape, even with Potts and probably Longwijk going.
11th with 64 points would also guarantee our 6th best season ever and our best non-MON/GA season too, as Sanchez took the 2001/02 squad to 11th on 64 points too, but with a goal difference of -6.

hope so, then a start v Charlton as captain for the big 400?
Can’t believe you still think that was a miscontrol, he’s done the same trick enough times since that you must know he’s doing it on purpose.

It would be amazing if GMac got a 3rd. No hattricks since JJ.
He’s done it twice in this match alone.
This has been a massively fun game to watch. Credit to Carlisle for having a good go, and not over yet.
Who is our current pen taker? Genuinely couldn't say after a few misses around the team. Would make sense for a late pen to go his way.
Unless JJ is on...think he was quite near a benchmark in either assists/goals or a combo of the 2?
You just brought up a fascinating scenario. I have a feeling JJ would give it to GMac.

JJ on for 399 ☺️
Grimmer just mentioned the 99 goal involvements stat.
JJ’s crossing is still the best in the squad.
I know we’re flat track bullies at the moment, but the last few games have been a pleasure.
We can't have won three aways in a row too many times, especially literally in a row with no homes in between?
Beach smeach.
Up to 11th and could still finish as high as 10th
Good win
10pts from a possible 12, is tabletopping form and stands us in great stead for the remainder of this and next season
Hopefully Carlisle batter Derby next Saturday but I wouldn't bet on it.
Blooms is guaranteed a top ten finish all time now, as we can't come lower than 14th:
Tougher opposition next season but we should be pushing for the playoffs.
4 away games in a row surely has to be a league record for us, once Cambridge is factored in. Especially over the amount of days.
We've probably won more than 3 aways in a row before, but wouldn't be confident when or how many.
One win of the final two would guarantee at least 11th, too.
Who’d have thought we’d go into the last week of the season 20 (twenty) points clear of the drop zone.

I for one am looking forward with optimism.

I can't see GMac retiring. He takes pride in his fitness and his ability to play on and on.
Also, hopefully he'd get offered a new contract, there's huge merit in keeping a positive, older head on board.
He’s hardly struggling to make it through games. No reason to retire

So...one more win lads!
He will never rest until ADT UK are destroyed.
