"Anti embarrassment" clauses are pretty common in these kind of deals so one would hope that it has been included. However, it normally has a time limit to it, which I suspect the new owners would let lapse before selling. In all likelihood the time has probably already passed because it is meant to protect against a relatively quick flip.
Good call! I think they should all purchase Wycombe shirts, attend every home game at AP by the thousands, and shout "Down with incompetent ownership! Bah!" all game long.
The most bizarre thing in all this is that dear MK fans are now upset with Reading because of the statement by the supporter's association likening us to MK (as an example of an awful club), after MK fans had been "supportive" of Reading's plight (whatever that means). Lots of handbags.
The threats of death and violence, though juvenile, are still not the way to get everyone on your side.
If the mysterious background geezer is using us as some weird pawn to buy their training ground, then go and buy Reading FC in totality and ditch us, that's even weirder.
There were a few negative comments towards the Trust earlier in this thread.
Probably a good time to remember their essential refusal to let the current owners take Adams Park, or we could easily be in a similar position of being sold all ends up to some random.
Wow I really thought this was just an unsubstantiated report but okay it’s a fact now I need a load more information before I can form an opinion on it.
I cannot understand what Reading fans think they will achieve by going to games and punching Wycombe fans besides wasting their money and possibly getting a night in the cells.
Do they not understand who owns a football club?
I don't know about anyone else but for the record Rob and Mikhail never asked me about this deal, today is the first I've heard of it, and I will be wearing glasses at Wembley.

We've sold so few tickets they ought to do a stands invasion

I would hope it was obvious I was referencing Maxwell in the 80s

F.A.O. Vital
As in "the Group have a signed letter confirming the option" Source WWT Update December 2015.
Maybe Rob, with his Louisiana oil man hat on, has identified a huge hydrocarbon prospect directly under the training ground?
One of the most odd days in gasroom history.

This sounds like those people that buy a £900 coat they don't need just because it was on sale 'discounted' from £2,000.
Then they can't repay the credit card bill.
So they stick the coat on eBay and get £100 for it.
They then carry the £800 debt with them for years, gradually accruing interest.
Eventually they sell their car to clear the debt.
They end up having to walk everywhere (without a coat).
Which would sum up their stupidity as Wycombe will earn just as much for each Peterborough ticket sold!

If the idea is to share with Reading at their current ground or build a new one jointly at Bearwood, Adams Park would turn into a white elephant.
Or the PNL would move in 🤦🤦🤦

I am just glad this is happening AFTER we played Reading away (probably deliberate)!

Wear a Wycombe and Reading half and half scarf and see what happens!
And a monocle?
Where are the board auto-responders today?
If you mean the Trust, then they probably knew as much as the Gasroom family.
Let's be honest, since all the sky money and foreign owners, football has gone to shit really
And now the Champions League expansion will provide more money and more games for those poor over worked players.
How much is Mr Gasroom worth?
Probably time to rename this place Gazrom to make the new owner feel more at home.
That’s great.
Alan’s busy on Facebook telling people off for jumping to conclusions
As per above, in the form of your life K-i-S.
The one bright side is, if it all falls through, we know we've got £24 million to invest in the stadium and playing staff next year.
Championship here we come!
Good. With the tsunami of shite being posted in this thread I dread to think what the geniuses on Facebook are posting.
Has Sam Vokes been posting?
This whole scenario must be like sweet honey to you.
