Nail on head. If Reading sorted themselves out and still wanted to sell then this is all good, in the current scenario we're helping the idiot in charge with funds that will all be gone before the season is up leaving their fans and whoever finally does the cleaning up with no assets and huge debt, pretty shameful tbh.
Also how the hell do you put up an academy on what will likely still be a bigger clubs lawn without them nicking all your best players.
If true that Lomtadze is now looking to buy Reading (after supposedly funding our purchase of their training ground) then I'd be more worried about our future than theirs.
The trust is an emotional outfit and not a serious partner in the business. As was illustrated with the resignation of the directors recently which came as a shock to the trust.
I will continue to support the trust as they a voice of the fans to the outside world, even if they are impotent now (as expected) in the running of our club.
Reading’s staff and players might be getting paid until the end of the season now. We didn’t get to keep everything we owned at the end of the Hayes reign so I’m at a loss as to why it’s so important that we make sure that Reading can.

As somebody who doesn't have any issues with Saudi Arabia it looks like I'll be the only one going to the World Club Championship in 2028.
Not Feliciana or Mr Lomtadze or any other business entity. I've not got a clue what's going on here
£25M! Short term!

My god this makes us look absolutely awful. Hard nosed business men unfortunately don't give a shit what fans think though do they
From the Reading statement
Further updates, including possible options for an alternative training facility, will be communicated when appropriate
It's like somebody telling you they've paid off your mortgage but, unfortunately, you now have to live on the streets.
I know a great spot just half an hour away from their stadium...
So that's another away game it won't be safe to attend. Nice work.
Won't be renewing my Trust membership. What's the point?
This is pretty grim. I bet we go after the academy (and players within it too). Makes no sense to train there without one.
The Reading fans think they won't survive this, so there won't be any away games at their place.
Has there ever been one since they lost ownership?
Well they still had representatives on the board to, err, represent their membership.
Clearly either haven't been consulted or listened to so as I say, what's the point.
Crikey, it will be interesting to see how things pan out with Oxford looking to share a ground.
Rumours on Reading sites saying Lomtadze is, allegedly, now keen on buying Reading not Wycombe.
Also the Reading owner is a serial offender when it comes to putting clubs into administration.
Not that those who sit on the EFL fit and proper would know unless they had access to a computer.
120 acre site seems to offer potential. One for the Training Ground gang perhaps?
This makes us look really respectable. Cheers Pete.
New Trust Motto maybe :-
We, the willing
Led by the unknowing
Are doing the impossible
For the ungrateful
We have done so much
For so long
With so little
We are now qualified
To do anything
With nothing
I don't think you can have a go at someone for reacting to effectively a death threat.
It’s just a spotty virgin sat behind a keyboard. Means nothing.

Do you think that tweet deserved a respectable reply?
Oh, that's fine then.
I expect our sporting director to act with a modicum of maturity. That’s not much to ask for.
Better to say nothing, though Pete is no longer a Director after resigning.

Why? Stop being so pompous.

Had there ever been a gasroom thread with so much wild speculation, nonsense claimed as facts, and outright lies than this?
Proper gasroom stuff this.
Bearwood sounds a bit 'flash'
Are there actual bears in the wood is what I want to know.
And where do they shit?
