Love Vokes but he is really an impact sub with no more than 20 minutes to go, then he can run around like a bull in achina shop with no danger of running out of steam
I'm a fan of Vokes, but being in a 532 doesn't bring out the best in him. He can press well, but his introduction normally coincides with a switch from Blooms for everyone to stand off.
This is awful now. Anyone know what Vokes is supposed to be doing? He’s barely moving, I thought my stream was broken last time the ball went near him and he just stood still and watched it.
may I remind you that you all clowned on me when I gruntled about vokes coming on at the weekend. He gives opposition a 60 yard head start in possession
I don’t think he’s telling them to stand off, but when your only player up “front” is strolling around in your own half it makes it incredibly difficult to get the ball up the pitch.
I know nothing about football but shouldn’t there always be a player just in the opposition half when we’re under siege (as we so often are late in games).

Good luck with your meeting @Shev
Got to get someone closer to Vokes. Even if he’s in the same position as Bez he can’t do the same job.
Surely someone has to stay forward?
Has anyone else noticed how the BBC’s ‘EFL League One & Two Live’ page never references Wycombe? Not even in the half-time round ups.
So when you bring on a slow striker and pull the defenders back into a five, what is the actual plan for getting forward?
oh dear a back 5
we will end up sitting too deep and invite them onto us, it needs Jack & Jason to really push up when we are in possession
We might hold on to the lead or we might get a 2nd but everyone can see we have given the advantage to Wigan here.
We are absolutely clueless with a back 5.
He's clearly not learnt from the rest of the season.
Back to this absolute shit
We really do put unnecessary pressure on ourselves sometimes.
I’d wager our possession stats fall off a cliff between minutes 60-75 each week when we slam the brakes on our attacking play with our subs.

Mrs Vokes?
We really needed Sadlier on as someone who can put them back on their toes.
Cheers! I might be unnecessarily tense during it.
You can always see the moment Vokes comes on.
Or walk around like a bull on valium

Good tactical sit down by Josh.
I didn’t say Vokes was the right sub. It was definitely wrong. Back to a four now. Thankfully. That was a rubbish spell

Cheer up everyone. We're winning and the PNLs are getting pumped on the tele.
If you target a player you have to expect a bit of light ribbing when it doesn’t work out for you.
So touchy.

What exactly does bring the best out of him @prufrock_91 ?

Great save
And another one.
Infuriatingly shambolic vision mixing

Wide players getting the ball in quickly. We've seen it every now and then through his time with us, but have never done it often enough.
He has not had a good cameo today.
This is horrible
