Well, don't take your chances, and you won't win the game. We've had more than enough to get something from this game, but dispensing of the high press in the 55th minute has made life much easier for Bolton. Bounce back on Saturday.
Great setup in the first half. First goal was the vital one with our counter attacking + man marking approach. It resembled the sort of approach we’d have on a Tuesday night under Ainsworth.
Unfortunately, Bloomfield has to take some stick again today for his subs. Poor choice of them. Poor timing of them. Why would we bring Vokes into that game? Utterly bizarre. Completely killed our momentum.
Bolton showed that they’re a good side, but they were definitely beatable, especially if we had we taken our chances in the first half or implemented a better strategy in the second half.
Some signs that things are improving though. Butcher looks like a fantastic signing.
He still holds the ball up well, wins the majority of headers, and brings others into play. He is also a threat from set pieces (as seen on Saturday). He certainly isn't built for a high press, and Bloomfield bringing him on so early today was a big mistake.
On Saturday I think taking Kone off for Lubala was a very bad move and it showed at first. It was quickly rectified by putting Vokes on and moving Lubala back but Kone was doing an excellent job of stretching them and leading the line. Not sure Lubala offers that but time will tell and it's up to MB to get it right.
Very frustrating. On another night we’d have had that wrapped up by halftime. I know we have to rotate, but without knowing the injury situation it feels like Blooms has overdone it tonight.
Played well again tonight, and after a superb win on Saturday, it does seem like we have turned a corner. Makes it all the more frustrating when our substitutions and poor game management seem to take the game away from us.
Make no mistake though, we are still right in the mix of a relegation battle. 6 points off the bottom 4 with a tough run of games, and other teams picking up wins. How badly we could do with dispatching the PNLs.

This does feel like a mismanaged game, getting too cute. 0-2 now too.
Q: You have just won 5-2 against a good side, do you:
1: Keep the momentum going.
2: Make four changes.
Wank
What a shit goal to concede. Wakey wakey Max
Poo ...
Honourable mention to Bradford for dispensing sweet footballing justice to that abomination.
so frustrating as we have a great squad but still think management are not getting nowhere near out of this squad
Dreadful goal to concede, poor judgement from Max, but what exactly was he remonstrating with the ref for?

Teams below us winning too (Reading, Cheltenham, Shrewsbury). Not a great night.
Reading are on a superb run of form currently. I wouldn't be surprised to see them finish around mid table.

What game do you suggest he is built for?
Back to life.
Back to reality.
See you Saturday.
With the amount of games coming up, it’s obviously option 2. Common sense
We live in five sub land now, remember.
Ah well, it will be worth it if we beat Oxford.
Messy old second half. Too many subs making things disjointed.
Does that count as a "legit" challenge from their keeper there to only get a yellow?!

Fleetwood stole a draw off Reading which helps a little. Though you feel Reading will cruise away from any danger.
We threw that away. Does anyone apart from @eric_plant think Vokes on after 55 minutes was a good idea? Anyone?
dangerous and reckless how on earth was it not a red? Answer: the ref. He didn't even book one of their players for punching the ball, clear as day.
At least we got on the score sheet, missed chances 1st half have cost us a point (and me a correct score prediction!).
Thought it was me for a second. Yes they changed the rules but it has to vaguely be legit. Not some goon utterly mashing your player.

Barnsley against Shrewsbury too. Suddenly this defeat is not looking as bad.
Saturday was superb but Blooms still has a lot to learn with the dreaded phrase "game management".
There was definitely a point at least available tonight.

He's clearly trying to get the ball
You can’t just high press regardless. Our high press v Posh worked as they were sh1t with the ball at the back. Bolton are not.
Better team tonight. They took their chances we didn’t. Simple as that.
