Posh v Port Vale tonight now off so an even better opportunity for us to push ahead with a win so it should make for a very entertaining night? Still no news on whether Thomasons red card has been overturned, I suspect not so looks like we’ll be without him, Baxter our keeper and Santos so that certainly evens things up! Have a safe journey those travelling but I can’t say enjoy the match can I? 😁
Agree on Bolton - always a bit of a mutual love-in, as I know their fans appreciated the reception at Adams Park when they were in dire straits as a club. Good fan bases recognize each other, and there seem to be some similarities between the supporters, as we also have a thoughtful, interesting forum, with the added bonus of the odd stellar pun.
Vokes is an interesting one, and though he still has a lot to offer either way, I do like the idea of him coming on to help the ball stick up top when we are either defending a lead or chasing a goal.
Hopefully we'll see a 22 man punch-up today in honour of Shrove Tuesday, where it was traditional for villages to attack each other with a football somewhere in the mix.
I don’t think many of us would have anticipated four changes from Saturday’s team. Bold from Bloomfield and clearly very confident in Lubala’s ability. I do wonder about the fitness of KVY, Grimmer and Kodua though. None even on the bench!
Youre absolutely right Shev there’s a lot of respect for the way Wycombe fans responded in our hour of despair unlike some of our less than considerate pie eating neighbours who prematurely celebrated our demise with jelly and ice cream outside our ground. Still as they say what goes around comes around and not long after they had their own brush with admin and weren’t laughing quite so loud. I’m glad they survived though because it gives us more chances to stuff them on their way back to obscurity despite our slip up this season!! 🫣
Poor old Jack, ages injured comes back in great form only to get hurt again. I guess KVY isn’t quite up to two games a week yet, a manager with Blooms injury record is bound to be sensitive to that.
Cheers @FarmerCee - I can confidently say that I wish Bolton all the best in all but two games per season (or every game when we aren't in the same division). It's always great to see you on here!
Nice to see McCarthy back in the side, and also to see Earley on the bench. Our squad definitely feels much stronger after January. though concerning to still have Scowen, Forino and others out.
Cheers Shev and without trying to turn this into a mutual admiration society 😁 I wish Wycombe well too, I always look out for your results anyway as I was gutted for you when you were in my opinion unfairly relegated those few years ago. Anyway, I’m a happy bunny as Evatt has gone back to the tried and trusted tonight with a firm defence and two proper wingbacks so your defenders will need to be on their toes from the off. Collins up top with Dion too for the first time so I’m looking forward to a cracking game which to be fair could go either way. 🙂

Could be worse- “Sadly”

So that's why we eat batter
Four changes for Wycombe.
Starting: Stryjek, Tafazolli, Butcher, Leahy, Campbell, Low, Potts, Taylor, Sadlier, McCarthy, Lubala.
Subs: Ravazolli, Wheeler, Vokes, McCleary, Earley, Lonwijk, Kone.
Crikey, don’t tell George and Evatt that Kim, they’re already wound up!! 🫣

Beginning to think Kodua doesn't actually exist, we just imagined him.
line up is strange with no vokes or Kone starting....if he is starting Taylor as a striker we are in trouble....pep bloomfield.

The football used was reputed to be a severed head after an execution
chem Campbell....absolutely terrible

Lubala will be central striker with Taylor just behind as he was on Saturday. Same formation just different personnel.

Just 4-2-3-1 again with Taylor behind Beryl and Campbell and Sadlier on the flanks.
I am not too thrilled with that lineup, though with five subs, I expect we will see Vokes-GMac-Kone before the end of the evening.
Ooohhh you petulant old bugger @micra
I do apologise for my slip up...
That could be something to behold - Vokes, Kone, Wheeler and GMac all off the bench with 20 to go

Perhaps Campbell up top and Beryl on the left. Campbell won quite a lot of headers in the Fleetwood match.
Kodua misses out because we have already named 5 loan players in the squad
Let’s hope Campbell turns up because hasn’t contributed much so far. With so many games not surprised to see changes. Shows strength of the squad.

Good feedback - thank you.
I'm sure it will be Lubala up top with Taylor behind him. Chem right wing for Gmac and Macca in for Grimmer. Leahy for KVY
Bit of a disaster to lose both full backs after good performances Saturday.
Good grief I hope not
