So many managers seem to employ this - it's as if it is a massive part of the Uefa A Licence. It's a complete load of rubbish and only works if you are a top six Premier League side. Thankfully we've dispensed with that nonsense ourselves which invites pressure.
It's not a load of rubbish - it makes perfect sense - it's just a lot of coaches don't know how to coach it properly. I've seen teams make it work at this level, so it's not as though only PL players are capable.
very good performance, KVY is great in possession, Butcher solid, Potts class, Taylor looks better deeper (defo not a striker)Low is absolute class....we do look nervous and give the ball in dangerous areas but we are moving in the right direction
Tremendous result. Important win bearing in mind some teams at the bottom picking up points. Taylor, Low , Sadlier and Potts absolutely excellent. We certainly now have the depth of squad to ensure we can move away from the bottom end of the league quickly.

I’m sure it’s been mentioned, but Sads finish for our third was fantastic. So easy to lose your head in that situation.

Didn't we do Bradford twice with Miguel de Souza bagging hat tricks?
When you think the squad didn’t include Scowen, Forino, McCarthy, Saxon, Kodua or Pattenden and our bench was still strong.
Their keeper made at least one tremendous save from Kone. Credit where credits due it was our press that forced the errors
Exactly, either went for a throw or the keeper ended up pumping it long (with less players to pump it too)
Looked like it was going to be headed clear, then curled away. Lovely.
Reading the posh forum reminds me how much I dislike their team and its fans.
So I hope they enjoy their evening as I certainly will.

So easy to lose your head and find a defenders!
It makes no sense at all at this level. It invites pressure. The vast majority of teams concede unnecessary goals through this.
Which teams have you seen make it work at this level consistently?
I’ve seen one team do well with it. Manning’s MK Dons. The rest were rubbish.
The away game was 4-0, but De Souza did score hat tricks in both.
He was offside
First player to score hat tricks in both games against the same opponent in the same season IIRC.
If that isn’t offside, I don’t know what offside is.
I think you’re a frame or two late, at the moment Grimmer touches it he looks level.
Still clearly offside
Evatt was also sent off for Bolton at half time today, so he may not be pitch side on Tuesday night.
You might think so, but the assistant referee didn't!

That makes it even sweeter against Posh
The elephant has been papered over and we have turned the corner.
MK and Ipswich spring to mind. I feel like Sunderland might have done it well too.
Also just off frame to the left, Alan Swann is playing him on.
a) he is not clearly offside for the reason that has been stated.
b) who cares? We’ve been on the wrong end of some really poor decisions this season so if one has gone in our favour it’s about time.
Our opinions differ but who cares. I can’t stop smiling.
Did you see Matt’s huge grin in the interview, great to see and long May it continue.
He did take a knock. Saw him stretching and shortly after got subbed and was hobbling off the pitch.
My highlight of the game was Butcher taking a halfway line freekick and makine a "Cone" symbol above his head. Wonder who he was aiming for!?

So am I correct that is the sixth best result ever in our Football League history!?
No!
