If players are going 'ballistic' then that's not the Wycombe way. We're supposed to be the Dirty Dozen who are there for each other to the end. If Bloomfield can maintain this team spirit then.......
Just a footnote on something. I said a few weeks ago that the job to weld the axe wouldn’t be Bobby C but would fall on Pete’s responsibilities. (Gives Bobby the opportunity to still play the folksy charm hand he tries to do)
Petes in the country.
2+2 = 467 (Pete is also instrumental in new signing etc etc yadda yadda yadda)
I think it is becoming a mental block - no need for the Phillips or Grimmer fouls that gave free-kicks the last two games. I think the weird run is in the players' heads as much as Blooms.
I was more concerned by Kone seeming so short of fitness that had to pull up rather than chase their player. He looked shot after less than 15 mins on the pitch.
A popular quote on political threads is...Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times.
Ainsworth was a strong man. The Championship was good times......you know the rest.
It's been a absolute car crash from Bloomfield since he took over ,he's taken us from play off contention to probably going down,he's just a shit Alan smith
Is Blooms supposed to be training the refs too? Because we are blaming him for some crazy errors there too.
Again, we had a very similar run with GA, and no-one seemed to want him sacked.
Of course the manager is ultimately responsible, but there can be mitigating factors. Blooms is one or two realizations away from really taking off. We are a decent team for 85 minutes, so we have one glaring issue to fix.
Neither side deserved to win. But we did deserve to lose for the dreadful defending on the set piece at the end.
As soon as it gets flicked to the back post you could see we weren't out quick enough. Symptomatic of a problem we've had since Blooms took over - we're always too deep and too slow to get out. When we did eventually get players there they didn't show enough desire to stop the cross. Wheels then misses the header and Grimmer turns his back. Not good enough at all.
I was angry quite a long time ago at the way we were playing under Blooms. I've now reached a stage of grim resignation, bordering on finding it comical at times.
In recent weeks I think we've actually played Ok and have been a shade unlucky not to get more points. But it's hard to keep the faith that things are going to turn in our favour when we're consistently shit in both boxes.
If we can't take 4 points off the next two games I reckon we'll be bottom 4 by the end of Feb. Once again, we're going in to a Saturday home game with the potential for the atmosphere to turn toxic if we go behind.
Agree it was poor and agree we need to recognise how inexperienced he is. You have to question whether he should actually be in put box at this stage of these matches or should be up on the halfway line.
Anyone still in denial that we're in a relegation fight should remember that after Fleetwood (which is now a must-win game), we have a resurgent Cheltenham, then Peterborough, Bolton, Oxford and Stevenage to come.
These last few were the games where we were meant to be picking up point. Sorry but as it stands we looked fucked.
Fair point overall, but I was talking about the 2018-19 run, when GA had been in the job many years, and we went something like 12 without a win with a lot of late goals.
Oh the scenes if Boyes not only has a stormer but is constantly in the attacking half and then scores a 97th min winner, just after we've brought Forino on to sure things up.
Over the last five games we’ve had a median of 2 shots on target. Most of these games have lasted 105 mins or more. Most of the opposition sides have been bottom half sides. We are not ‘taking off’ any time soon. We are a relegation-threatened side.
Written in the stars, I'd say. Crashing it in from 30 yds out and running back to celebrate with the (36) Fleetwood fans, giving Matt the finger as he passes by.

Three of those were significant refereeing errors, but sure, Blooms deserved those.
Young
There's been a heck of a lot of late goals against. The fear is it's the manager's lack of nous that invites such things.
To lose tonight almost felt gallows humour as a few of us predicted it. Some even to the exact minute!

And whose job is it to instil a stronger mentality in the players / not confuse them with absurd late substitutions and system changes?
It was such a poor 30secs of action.
Couldn't play a ball into acres of space to a player 5 yards away, then totally unaware of a player storming into a dangerous position behind him.
He shouldn't take too much grief though. A step up of 6 leagues is an outrageous leap and he'll always need to be eased in.

People talk about how WE were the ones who used to score late goals.
So much of that was Bayo, just caused absolute chaos for defenders and pulled defenders off other players.
We still miss him terribly.

No wonder he's taking his time if the axe hasn't even been welded yet 😉

I still think it’s a moot point, because RC won’t sack him, but it’s very hard to believe Blooms is the man to take us forward.
This is some way off ‘the best squad we’ve had in years,’ but it’s better than four points above the relegation zone.
all I hear is excuses excuses excuses....his win rate is 25%...let that sink In
You have to remember Ainsworth picked up an absolute mess of a squad. Bloomy picked up a team on a run of 5 or 6 wins right on the playoff door.
And its been a real let down since.
However, it's Fleetwood Saturday . They're pony and we'll win that.
I'm really worried that Pete is going to be put in temporary charge!
35%

I know this is a serious post and no laughing matter, but I did chuckle at your last line.
I can't say I'm confident of beating Fleetwood if MB remains in charge.
Last minute Boyes winner anyone?

25% in the league. That's all that matters. Tinpot trophy matches don't count I'm afraid

Thing is this is the most likely thing to happen and we all know it
