Perhaps Wycombe's greatest contribution to the world was the shoe bomb used in the 2001 attempt to blow up a plane. Airport security was never the same after that.
So...a badge with a swan wearing shoes.....and the shoes giving off sparks a bit like a firework?
The heaviest rain has cleared now and was of shorter duration than originally expected. Should be dry for the match itself. Strong and gusty wind though. 13 degrees sounds about right.
Looking at the weather forecast for this evening, it might be as well for us to play it on the deck...... Assuming that's something we ever practise in training of course.

Absolute shocker of a badge.
Wigan's isn't great either ;)
It all makes sense apart from the crown
I do think it's about time we changed our badge up, buck the roundel trend and go back to just the swan?
Although wasn't that swan slightly different to the current one?
I don't really like either our new or old badges. Both of them look like they were made on MS Paint.
Eagerly awaiting @micra's weather forecast...
Time for a complete redesign to reflect Wycombe today. A vape with fireworks coming out of it?
A swan vaping
According to the BBC, strong winds, heavy rain, and a high of 13 degrees.
Probably not a good night for playing long passes.
Let’s hope it’s been warm enough for long enough to deal with the last week’s penetrating frost!
I've heard that Port Vale popped up to Wigan and called the game off.

Win tonight and we could be as high as 13th, lose tonight and it’s very much panic stations.
Welcome to Wycombe Wanderers 2024
When has it not been panic stations this season?
Half an hour free from disapproval @Wendoverman. Wonder where he/she has gone.

I’m at my factory in Hindley Green, Wigan and it’s been raining a lot since early this morning.
Looks like it might stop later but it’s very wet at present.
School is out soon @micra so won't be long... 😊
Thanks for the confirmation @wwfcblue.
What about a Red kite with a firework behind it? (or blowing it up, whichever works)
So what your saying is that it's very Moist out there??
I’ve got nightmares of us hoofing the ball into 60mph winds for 90 minutes.
In fact, that would be the perfect name for Neil Harman's sequel.
It would be really tough luck if the wind direction span round 180 degrees right on half time.

So you're suggesting we will be playing against the wind in both halves?
before every game the matchday squad run through a well organised drill of one touch passing football.
'Now what you've just been doing out there, once the whistle blows...forget all that...' 😊
Hopefully Max's distribution can be adjusted to allow for the wind.
Max might record more shots on target than our own strikers!
