I know I'm prone to hyperbole, but honestly with the players we have available to us settling on this as the back four is one of the most extraordinary team selections in history
Well I have watched that entire half and it looks to me like 11 players from an old peoples home that have never met before. Can’t hold on to a ball for more that one pass and no clue what to do with it 🤷♂️
Far too deep, huge gaps between defenders and attackers, Not enough bodies to press high, Vokes flicking on 50 yard passes while stood on the halfway line.
Flick-ons to nowhere from Vokes (not his fault - you'd think that people might guess if we hoof it to him, someone should probably run onto the flick-on).
Otherwise, it's pretty much pass, pass, misplaced pass, interception from both sides.
I can understand the desperate negativity and "playing not to lose", but I just feel like we can do this for 89 minutes and then switch off at a goalmouth scramble.
Bloomfield going back to this shape after slight visual improvements with a different formation suggests he can't see these obvious, glaring problems. That to me is even more concerning than the poor results.
I get the need to rotate at this time of year but this formation is so stultifying, esepcially with Keogh at the back, we sit too deep, haven't made any use of our width & are just too slow on the transition. As for the head-tennis that is a substitute for passing the ball in the centre of the park...

We're sitting far too deep. So negative.
No, actually I think you were right Glenatico, it does seem that Sadlier is playing further forward.
Against a team who haven't won a league game since mid September. YCMIU.
Thankfully they look impotent enough not to trouble us, but that only papers over the cracks

I can't believe what I'm watching
We're too deep and have no legs up front. Familiar problems
Half hour in…timely reminder that we still have at least an hour of this dross left.
Goodness
Has Scowen even been able to get beyond the halfway line? He's having to fill so many gaping holes at the back.
I think he's playing upfront with Vokes.
That was an ordeal
Boring, negative football. Only a speculative volley from Leahy providing any excitement.
Two of the worst teams in the league on show, and Exeter look the more likely to score. I hope Rob and Kevin are enjoying their day out.
Wonder if Gaz would come back to us?

Same problems we always have with this shape.

It wastes our best players.
Whatever. How's the xG looking??
A poor half, 2 poor teams, lucky for us Exeter are crap. Mind you they still look more likely to score atm
i don’t get the starting line up, I don’t get the formation, I don’t get the tactics. It’s like they’ve just been told to turn up and try their best.
This is absolutely hopeless. Probably the worse I have seen for a very long time. If we don’t win, Bloomfield has to go.
Terrible
Dire fare.

Was it me, or were 3 or 4 of them arguing at the end there walking off ?
Please don't shoot me or call me names if they wasnt

Fuck that's 45 minutes of my life I wont get back

Orient beat Charlton. That doesn’t augur too well.
Feeling a little sorry for Matt Cecil who seems contractually obliged to try and find any positives on comms.
This is approaching the standard of football in the Alan Smith era. Surely Rob can see this is utter rubbish.
Sam Avery doing a decent job on commentary. We miss the homely humour of @bluntphil though. In Germany with the in-laws.
thought the same. Phillips and JJ particularly getting into it
We're going to win this 1-0 aren't we.
