The season is pretty much over for us. We’re out of the (reputable) cups. It’s extremely unlikely we make the playoffs now. I’d like to think we’re too good to get relegated. So what’s the point in sacking Bloomfield and maybe finishing 9th as opposed to keeping Bloomfield and maybe finishing 19th? The financial impact of sacking a manager merely weeks into their extended contract surely outweighs the possible gain from finishing higher and theoretically having slightly better attendance. Whilst I know things are very bad at the moment, I’d give Bloomfield more time personally.
I got to admit I didn't want mb in the first place and I got really annoyed with him ,when he tore up a winning team and cocked up our season last year, but he started to win me over with his signings and how we started to play
But I think the biggest problem is missing Potts he joined the whole team together and we have started to play out slower and slower .This team reminds me of the Rochdale team that got relegated pass pass ,make a mistake goal
Last 24 Hours has been real "Rise of the Bedwetters" stuff
.As Confucius once said "there is far more value in sticking with a manager through a bad run and celebrating coming out of it together than sacking him to bring in another badged up failure from the merry go round to get a new manager bounce then have to sack them 18 months later and do it all again"
Question for those that have watched all the games this season. What were we doing during our ‘good spell’ that we’re not doing now? Is it purely down to certain players missing?
38 points from 34 games in charge is almost relegation form. Our current run since early October is definitely relegation form. I don't think you can qualify everyone with concerns as "bedwetters".
I still haven't quite worked that one out either, but it's basically an attack that starts just inside your own half and doesn't go backwards or sideways for any more than half of its duration.
I had to take some unusual medication a few years ago whose side-effects included hallucinating and bedwetting. The last couple of months have reminded me of this.

I didn't realise we've only scored 10 goals from open play this season. That's appalling.
On the upside, only Pompey and Stevenage have scored more from SPs
This is always good for seeing where teams are style-wise https://theanalyst.com/eu/2023/08/league-one-stats-2023-24-opta?_gl=1*10ib1h7*_ga*MTk3NjQxNTk4OC4xNzAyMjI1OTEw*_ga_BGFPTYQE1X*MTcwMjIyNTkwOS4xLjEuMTcwMjIyNTkxNi41My4wLjA.

Seeing as no one else seems to be considering the eventuality, I'll say it: we are not too good to get relegated.
Forecasting the future? I hope you're as inaccurate as I was predicting the Shrewsbury result.
Based in on current form we are definitely not too good to go down I think the contract extension will mean he will stay at least for a while

Exactly this.
Bar that FA cup semi run where seemingly every striker was obliterated have we ever had a worse set of luck in one position?
There was one poster who reckoned we'd had some good chances yesterday based on the stats 🙃
I chuckled.
Wonder if he learnt anything that day.
Can't believe anyone who has watched us this season would be daft enough to suggest we are?
There's narrow differences between a lot of teams. Momentum is huge and unfortunately it's in the wrong direction right now.
Nice to see Tafazolli out at a big event in Manchester tonight. Wonder if he’s off to Bolton.
We need to find the 2023 right-back equivalent of Essandoh. What's the 2023 equivalent of Ceefax? Twitter?
It wouldn't be so bad if we played 4 at the back. But wingback is a pretty specialist player to excel at.

Ah yes, how could I forget, expressing dissatisfaction at the state of things makes us 'bedwetters'.
He's not good enough for Bolton.
Well said The gasroom has a reputation for civilised conversation Leave that sort of childish nonsense to some of the Facebook groups

We are bottom of the table for direct attacks. Disgraceful. ...I don't know what a direct attack is, but it sounds exciting

Did you really wet the bed or were you just imagining it?
Works out at 51 points over a season, and four teams have gone down with 50 in the last decade. Not ideal...
Brilliant!
Cheers thats interesting stuff
