@ReturnToSenda is talking about the ludicrousness of having a managerial great like MON being a number 2 to a rookie, rather than then him coming back as manager.
Well, there's no chance MON comes back, but if he did he won't be a co manager to anyone, especially not someone who is either a rookie, or hasn't managed!
I couldn’t believe the choice of Jacobson and Keogh playing together - too old and too slow, especially together. They proved me wrong Keogh was excellent and deservedly MOM and when he was rinsed for pace second half was rescued by JJ, quite funny that.
I thought we played ok, although it seemed once the ball had gone into their half, albeit slowly, we were more than a little bereft of ideas. 💡 oh for a Mehmeti or McSporran to race down the wings taking on their defenders .
Not once did we have the run of the play today - blocked shots, clobbered the bar, ball not quite falling for us etc.
When you are in a bad run things tend to go against you.
Poor old Phillips, busting a gut every game with little result for it.
I’m really not sure of what we are trying to do, what system we are trying to play. Not sure the players know.
we were beaten by a Worldie today, a great goal, can’t complain.
MON coming in and not doing well would be even worse than witnessing Bloomy struggling to be honest.
Would be horrible to see, and sully the original memories.
His last couple of goes at management weren't great experiences, so it's probably best not to return at all, he's certainly earnt his retirement and had a great career.
The Couhigs be straight on the phone to Gareth.
But it may not be their call depending on what exactly the new arrangement will be with this mystery new businessman.
I know you didn't mean the last sentence seriously, but I doubt any but the most blinkered lower league fan thinks their team is too good to go down.
Obviously Franchise went down last season, and the PNL very nearly followed them, both with expensively-assembled squads, so having a decent team (on paper) means very little if the results aren't going your way.
Keogh did a good defensive job but he killed the tempo of the team. Demanding the ball from Max at every opportunity and then slowly passing it out, getting it back, repeat repeat repeat. Retaining possession and allowing the opposition to prepare for the Wycombe attack seems a very polite tactic.
He has something to offer but today his positives outweighed the negatives by killing momentum over and over. And also killing the entertainment. Fuck me it’s tiresome to watch that tactic.
Poor attendance. 8 games without a win and out of both cups.
Terrible football served up since Feb, coming directly off the back of sensational form.
A dreadful state of affairs by any objective measure.
I'm delighted I couldn't make the game today and I'll only be going to coming to future fixtures through a grim sense of duty (and the fact I've already got a ST).
I could just about live with it if we were at least trying to play some entertaining stuff. And yet, unfathomably, one of our most resilient and adaptable players ever insists on persevering with the same awful tactics that haven't worked consistently in months.

It's quite disturbing seeing someone like you who is usually as keen as a biscuit being so down about it all.
What are you disagreeing with?
@ReturnToSenda is talking about the ludicrousness of having a managerial great like MON being a number 2 to a rookie, rather than then him coming back as manager.
That's a different thing (although I still think we should move on completely)
Have we always won when the fireworks have come out?
Or was there 1 bad result? Trying to remember
'keen as a biscuit'
Are you just making sayings up?
I forget you're a youngun.
I think there was a draw against Morecambe..?
Ah that must have been it.
A miserable draw then the indignity of unleashing the celebrations.
Misunderstood, thought he meant being a co-manager / joint manager with Dobbo.
And why?
I agree
I’d never heard it before either (despite not being a young ‘un) but if you Google it, it does get a few results.
Obita was injured

English is unusual in that 'You utter/complete/total' plus any noun can be used as an insult.
You utter plank. You complete toilet. You total xG. and so on.
You flipping road sign.
You can also use pretty much any old random object to say how drunk you were.
"I got absolutely doorknobbed last night"
You absolute hosepipe
Probably doesn't even need the word door there.
"I got absolutely knobbed last night"
That's a bit different!
You did say you had better things to do than watch Wycombe 😍
I suppose dreaming of a MON return is somewhat unreal and clutching at straws really. Like you, I can’t see him coming back here.
Like @ReturnToSenda says, I am probably one of the people trying to avoid saying Matt should go because of his legendary status at the club.
If Matt was dismissed, who would be involved in the new manager selection process. My fear is that the Couhigs have little knowledge in this area.
Some thoughts on today..

ps I have no idea what XG is.
MB the jury is out.
We are too good to go down🤔

When we get battered at Derby, where does this leave Bloomfield?
You hit the absolute nail on the head there. The key word is ‘tempo’.
