Luton fans singing offensive songs in Liverpool game? Surely not. I was wondering if we would ever hear the Tommy Robinson chant on MOTD. They were singing about Northern slums apparently...
Amusing to see the PNLs potentially take a hit at the first sign of getting a successful run together.
If true, you'd think Manning may well be more inclined to give a flair player like Mehmeti more of a run in the first team - although of course we'd far rather see him back in loan in Jan, however unrealistic that may be.
Manning is an up and comer, for sure. I think he will do well at BC.
However much we like to laugh at Oxford, I still find it annoying on principle that higher clubs who are badly run come in and pilfer managers from lower clubs who are doing well at random times, derailing their season. We know how that goes from last season, though I am very happy with Blooms now!
Jaiden Bartolo is attracting a lot of hype at Wealdstone having scored 17 goals in 6 games so far this season in their academy teams, 8 in 3 for the U23 side and 9 in 3 for the U19 side. Yet to score less than 2 goals in a game and fans are calling for him to get a first team debut next week against Rochdale. Could be one to watch as another non-league steal.
That's some going but you have to temper this with the level he is playing at and the opposition.
In those three U23 games Wealdstone scored 22 goals against teams like Hartley Wintney and Kempston Rovers who play 6 levels below us and four levels below Wealdstone men's teams.
Would be interesting to see how he does for a struggling Wealdstone in senior football. By all accounts his contract runs out in 2024 too.
True but Wealdstone are giving him more attention on their official socials and even did an interview with him the other day so it seems a debut is on the horizon. People seem to want him named on the bench vs Rochdale next week, so we'll see how it goes. If he keeps up the form in the National League then Blooms should start paying attention, get in early for a deal. People in Gibraltar seem to rate him higher than De Barr too as their biggest home grown prospect (Scanlon @ Man Utd and Richards @ Derby were born and raised in England, even if they probably have a higher ceiling for their talent).
I think the best scenario for GA would be the Reading job coming open for him in the summer after he has a rest and they barely escape relegation. Local, L1, and the only way is up.
Great press conference afterwards from Tottenham manager Ange ! Very open, honest and to the point about VAR and referees. I thought it was very refreshing and a shame other managers don't do the same.
He seems to appreciate that constantly whining at refs whilst taking no responsibility for the actions of your own players cannot lead to any improvement and takes a dump on the game as a whole feeding down to grassroots and youth football. Could do with a few others like that.
He's very likeable, the idea that you actually continue to attack when you've probably lost already, either for entertainment or to maybe try and equalise seemed to confuse the life out of some of the dim lights on the sky team btw.
It's amazing how many fans call a manager a snake for leaving for a better opportunity, when they would happily call for his head if things went pear shaped.

@DevC may enjoy Wycombe singing about Bradford (city of culture 2025) as a s..hole
It's amazing how many ****holes that fans just want to leave, they are willing to go to in the first place.
Liam Manning named favourite to take the vacant Brizl City job.

Another case of leaving a club doing well at the top of the League for a middling team expecting much more in the league above?
I doubt City will be going up but if it scuppers Oxford's promotion chances I'm all for it.

It's just football banter but amusing

Any one think of any out of work managers with outstanding records in Lg1 living within commuting distance of Oxford......
Now THAT would be awkward on more than one count!

Cracking game at Tottenham tonight
Absolutely wild
It was certainly entertaining

Don't think he had a wrong decision go against his team last night, however I do think he's been brilliant on and off the pitch so far at Spurs.
Seems a really nice fella and a no nonsense one.
when are you taking us to Goodison @ryan_w_kirkby2 ?
6th January, hopefully.
All decisions spot on apart from that not to send Udogie off
That's what I mean no decisions went against his team that he could really moan at.

Liam Manning announced as new Bristol City manager. I hope this turns out to be a brilliant appointment for the purpose of developing Mehmeti!
And scuppering Oxford's promotion hopes
Barton to the PNLs please
I'd prefer him going straight to current NLs!
It's amazing how many fans call a manager a snake for leaving for a better opportunity, when they would happily call for his head if things went pear shaped.
He'd probably blame the lack of 4 stands for a defeat
Quite a meltdown on the Oxford forum.
Delightful stuff
Oxford promotion push derailed and VAR yet again upsetting Premier League managers...all's right with the world.
