The most important landmark in West Wycombe is the mausoleum where Nastassja Kinski did a nudey scene in To the Devil a Daughter. She was 14 at the time so we won't be seeing it on TV anytime soon. And also because it's rubbish.
The manor house also featured in a pop video but I can't remember which one and can't be arsed Googling it.
In the wake of The Exorcist, most of the pack were trying to compete on the cheap looked tawdry. I thought The Omen was terrible as well...but it was successful so perhaps Hammer wanted a franchise!
Was it worse than a 3-1 defeat to Charlton though...
Assume 1) you dropped them an email requesting this, and 2) Paid £10?
Think it's more straightforward for the £10 pass, as they simply refund that.
On the £170 international pass, I'm told they "pro rata" it, which could mean £170/46, even though some of us have only bought it for the away games. So £3.70 or so discount.
Better than nothing I suppose!
EDIT, having seen Bargey's post, I won't assume you emailed them, and that they just refunded people automatically then!
As it's the last game of the season it's probably going to be quite a long video so the more stuff like town attractions the better, will certainly have a look around and show up very early to have time to include it.
My last visit to Adams Park (and first) it was very rush rush and I actually missed both goals as I was 18 minutes late, hoping to avoid a repeat of last time 😂
Jennifer Connelly takes a quick detour through West Wycombe Park on her way back to babysitting duties in Labyrinth. Sadly, Bowie's Goblin King only appears on location as an owl.
I missed the first 15 minutes because of the technical issues, and when I divided the $180-odd for the year by 46, and then again by 6, I very honourably decided not to ask the club for the refund of 65 cents.
I see WW may be in trouble as some halfwit threw a smoke bomb on the pitch. It was to the right of where I was standing. Very frustrating, but obviously some fans near the offender consider it acceptable behaviour.
I've not said anything about this, but I will now. We had a lot of idiots there last Saturday, all younger fans, I'm not being ageist, but they were. I saw one group of 4 walk in and immediately from the safety of our stand start calling Charlton fans walkers etc giving it all the hand signs and offering them outside ! Meanwhile most Charlton fans who were happily doing nothing minding their own business just looked on bemused. It was bloody embarrassing. Saw it lots of times during the course of the match, espc from the group of youths behind the goal with the drum that you could hardly hear them drumming as they didn't seem to know how to do it.
Hope this isn't what we're turning into, a fan base with a load of idiots that all they want to do is goad home fans when away.
Bunch of absolute losers. Problem is, following covid, they’re 2 years down on their social development and easily influenced by social media nonsense like “Footy Limbs” and “Casual UK”, which glorify poor behaviour at the football. Ripping Charlton’s seats after we conceded the third and then all legging it out the ground before the final whistle is pathetic behaviour. You rarely see these clowns at home games, so I can only assume it’s their big day out and we won’t be seeing them until Oxford away. Seeing ex-drummer Tom crying at half time is not nice either. I’m sure plenty of clubs have these sorts of idiots, but it really is scourging the experience now. I’ve encountered all sorts of nonsense from our crowd in aways ends this season.
Ripping out seats? I hope they've got CCTV. Very sad. I tend not to travel for those reasons...I am too easily irritated by idiots and too old to be fighting them!
I was thinking of going to a couple of away games this season, probably at Oxford and Reading.
But, having seen all this, I have no wish to be associated with the moronic behaviour of the feral dregs of society who associate with the club, and who should be identified and banned from all football grounds in England, I will stay in Vipienne and watch online.
A real shame to read the above. I was sat to the left, well away from any of that, so was thankfully completely unaware. Didn't even see the flare until the highlights. Had a couple of beers with some Charlton fans before the game and they were a great bunch!
A Charlton fan I know said to me the other day he was surprised at how empty the away stand was after the 3rd goal went in, especially considering how well we played in the 2nd half. I felt he had a good point. Was a bit of embarrassing looking around at the final whistle and seeing only a few hundred left to applaud the team off. I thought they deserved a bit better than that!

Seem to have received a refund for the stream of this game 👍🏻
To the Devil a Daughter is a dreadful film.
So have I. But, as I watched the whole match without any technical issues, I have emailed the club to say I don't want to claim a refund.

I've given you a bit of joshing over the months, but that's fair play.
@wingnut @Wycombe85 @Chris
Thank you for the suggestions.

The mausoleum also features in A Clockwork Orange in the scene where Alex fantasises about whipping Christ.
Thanks Google.

Oh dear
I am surprised no-one mentioned this. It's a long time since the last flare throwing flare up on the Gasroom.

I got a refund too. Although they'd billed me twice by duplicating the payment.
Morons.

Integrity...pass it on.

I may be daft but I have no idea where to buy smoke bombs or flares.
Probably Bombs R Us, but I would not risk googling it.

Certainly one of a number of reasons that make simply watching aways on a screen a much more pleasant experience at times.

Likewise 🙄
Who was doing the drumming?
It was actually on TV (still with that scene in) quite recently. Not that I was watching of course 😳
A mix between Tom and the lad that's been on the drum in the last few home games who stands by the 1887 section.
Just for the balance, bumped into 3 young Wycombe fans on the tube home and they were very nice people
Was wondering because, re your comment about Tom earlier, that was also the situation at the Lincoln away game.
A few youngish guys gave him grief there, causing the same situation that you alluded to.
I know he's not particularly popular with some of our fanbase, but I really don't like seeing him in that state.
Makes me feel very uneasy.

It shouldn't need to be said, but he needs to be treated with more caution than many of our other fans.
