What really wound me up about that incident, is that when the dust had settled and it just felt like a distant bad nightmare, it pops up as a "what happened next?" on A Question of Sport...
All the recent keepers have had close shaves with the goal too - Rocky volleyed over a would-be last minute equalizer at Coventry where it appeared easier to score, and Stocky set up a penalty with his shot at goal. Now we just need Max to go one better...
I was discussing 'bringing the keeper up' last night following the Lazio goal. Conclusion was it should be done more often. In a League game what do you have to lose? One goal on the goal difference if it all goes wrong.
And obviously in a cup game there is nothing to lose, if you are already losing
I've said this before but teams should not be allowed to name a goalkeeper on the bench. It has robbed us of the greatest thing in football, an outfield player going in goal
And even if sub keepers are allowed, they definitely shouldn't be allowed to be brought on to replace a keeper that has been sent off

Stocko in that shootout v Exeter doesn't count!
You’re joking right?
I still have nightmares about Scott Barrett
Colchester!
End of thread.

Time stood still as Creaser and Hydey realised what was going to happen as the ball bounced between then.
We’d already had to deal with their goons invading the valley, a pitch invasion and McDonagh’s antics
The horror… the horror.
You could say it lost us the title, record points haul and promotion……
We put that right a year later and another visit to Wembley.
That's before my time!
Doesn't mean it didn't happen though.
My goodness.......
strewth. That's ruined my day.

Not the only occasion.

Imagine being a Wycombe Wanderers fan and asking that question.
I’m going to throw up…
Imagine being a Man City fan last night singing 'Champions of Europe, you'll never sing that' at Red Star Belgrade, who won the European Cup in 1991.
They sung "Champions of England, you'll never sing that" to Burnley who have won the league twice.
Sorry for being young
At least you might live long enough to see us play Man City in a league match....
DOFL
Lol
I didn't understand the reference either as though I am very, very old it was also before my time (in the area).
Sorry guys, but it can be watched (through your fingers stuff) here

And he had a mullet too.
Oh, that's even more painful than you made it sound
Scott Brown 'scored' from a goal-kick at Stevenage in 2017 - even their own fans down that end were saying it crossed the line...

Yoof be wasted on dem young.

I get stupidly excited when the keeper comes up for corners, calling all the kids in to watch.

and yet you’ve heard the Ramones.
