Wycombe Wanderers regret to announce further delays to the dispatch of home and away shirts, due to problems with the shipment received from hummel over the weekend.
The delivery to the club’s fulfilment partner contained a multitude of errors which have required extra time for the warehouse team to process before dispatch can begin.
The club apologises for the delay, which is out of its control, and the team are working round the clock to correct the errors and begin fulfilment as soon as possible.
Fans who placed an order will receive an email notification as soon as their package has left the warehouse.
The combination of long delay getting the kit available and assumed new policy of 1 year lifespan (to be confirmed by Mr @AlanCecil tomorrow night) is a really unfortunate combination.
My Villa-supporting cousin asked me if Wycombe had an equivalent of their 'Up the Villa' - I told her about 'Up the Wyc' and she said it sounded filthy. I mean, fair play.
Seems quite a common problem. Mate of mine ordered a Newcastle shirt pre season last year, don't think it arrived until some point in the Autumn. Certainly isn't something unique to Wycombe. At least we'll (hopefully) get ours in the next week or so. The club was always clear they wouldn't be available for the start of the season.

I just received this email from Julie Hancock:
Hi David,
All pre-orders will be dispatched the end of this week the start of next.
Kind regards
Does anyone know when the children’s new kit is available in the shop?

This could be the first kit ever not to become available before it's changed
A multitude of errors to be fixed by warehouse staff.
Are they having to unpick the Wolverhampton Wanderers badge before sewing ours back on?
Wickham Wandererers
I saw someone get a Huddersfield shirt with a Burnley badge on it
Good to see Hummel's notorious supply issues have improved, though.
I'd prefer that to "Up the Wyc".

It is a strangely horrible phrase.
One I don't think I've ever heard a long time Wycombe fan use.
I used to hate it then gave in
always sounds like a film for which either Sid James or Robin Askwith would feature heavily on the poster outside the Odeon.
It was bloody daft to pick Hummel. Did we not do any research whatsoever?

Ah, but the chevrons!
Newcastle don't have Hummel, but plenty of clubs experienced problems with them. Bristol City binned them halfway through the season.
That said, Leeds once had a container full of their new kit fall off a ship - so it could be worse 🤷
Hopefully the club will be able to get some compensation from Hummel, which they should then pass on to the fans who pre-ordered.
Now just had another email to say my shirt has been despatched!
I may put in on tomorrow, and post a selfie on here - or would that be too horrific for some Gasroomers?
After the kit debacle i wonder how long it will be before we can order a training top, probably the Winter.
You mean you're not tempted by last season's training kit at full price?
Your having a laugh. LOL!!
With chips back on the menu....high risk the shirt's won't fit by the time everyone gets their order.
The sort of film most of the gasroom was all over in the 80s but now pretend they never were.
'Tonight on Talking PIctures TV....'
May contain outdated attitudes and language.
I'm starting to realize why the opportunity to buy last season's kit was deemed as "once in a lifetime." Hummel's reputation precedes them, evidently.
Ah yes - Carry On At Your Convenience, and Confessions of a Window Cleaner. They don't make films like that any more.
My mum was a Vestal Virgin in Carry on up the Khyber!
